Beautiful Property, Great Hosts

The property we booked through Verbo was perfect for us and such a pleasant stay. The host was quick to answer our questions and very kind each time. The property was clean and exactly as described. It is such a beautiful property. The location was ideal. We had a wedding and rehearsal dinner at nearby venues and each of them were less that 10 minutes from the property. I highly recommend the property and the host.

Such a delightful stay!

We had a very peaceful time while we were at the house. The view of the lake with those huge windows was so nice. My kids enjoyed the adventure of paddle boarding trying to get closer to the squadron of pelicans floating on the lake. the beds were comfy and there was a ton of space. The hosts were helpful and easy to connect with if needed. We will be staying again next year if it’s available!

This was a great house for our family. We were attending our daughter’s nearby wedding and this house was perfect for our family of all ages. The game room was terrific as well as the porch and waterfront activities! We loved the sunsets over the lake and highly recommend this home!

An excellent vacation home for families

This was a perfect location to watch the April 8, 2024 eclipse. Our teenage grandchildren really enjoyed sleeping in the game room above the garage. Wedding Weekend

We wanted a place close to the our daughters wedding venue and big enough to hold the extra family members that were going to stay with us. The house was amazing! The back patio over looking the lake was very relaxing for morning coffee and late in the afternoon for down time. The boys enjoyed fishing off the pier. Plenty of room inside for everyone. And so quiet at night, we all slept well.

WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY

Oh my, this (hide out) was exactly what we needed. Very clean, spacious and relaxing. I would highly recommend. The only bad thing was OUR STAY WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH!! The weather was a little cool to enjoy the boating activities that they had available, but sitting on the porch (the view if unbelievable)with a little fire in the fireplace was perfect. Check it out if you need a place to stay.

We flew in from California for a wedding celebration we were attending. Our son and grandkids were meeting us there. Super roomy with bedrooms to choose from. a large living room and open kitchen area. Super spacious and relaxing stay. big laundry room to wash if needed. the kids loved the pool table and game room upstairs.

Amazing Hidden Gem !

Wow! This lake house is amazing ! Your family will thoroughly enjoy this place. The views of the Lake are breath taking- the house is well spread out. A good size group could be using it and it doesn’t feel crammed at all. The bonus room was thoroughly enjoyed by kids and teens alike! We went in winter but the summer activities that the house offered is impressive as well. Alvarado may not be on your radar but this gem might make it worth a trip to experience a quiet serenity and luxurious lake house. The owners are easy to work with and made the entire experience awesome!

Family Vacation

After abruptly having to change plans because of Hurricane Beryl we found “Hidden Haven” and I’m so glad we did. It was perfect for our family! We had plenty of room to spread out! The bedrooms were large and spacious to accommodate my children and their toddlers! The large dining table overlooking the lake was one of our favorite places to share a meal together. The back porch overlooking the lake was a great place for the toddlers to play and adults relax. The new dock was awesome and everyone enjoyed the fishing! My daughter and son-in-law enjoyed the kayak and paddle board! Even though it’s close to the city, it was so quiet and relaxing. The Host was EXCELLENT and so accommodating to our needs! We had a great time on our yearly Christmas in July vacation!!!

Wedding Week!!!

This home is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places you could ever stay!!! Our son and his high school sweetheart were married at The Springs in Alvarado and it was a crazy week! This house was our retreat! We woke up to the most gorgeous and serene lake views right out of a movie! The fall leaves, beautiful yard, big relaxing porch to sit on every morning and evening were our sanity savers. We even built a fire in the porch fireplace one chilly evening and had the best time! There were close neighbors but we never heard or saw anyone. The house is big and spacious and you can enjoy fixing and eating a meal in a wide open area with again…an amazing view of the lake just a few yards away! The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could ever need and a beautiful long wood table with plenty of seating for everyone! The beds were comfy, and there was a laundry room with anything you needed to get ready for the day or big event like a wedding.The groomsmen stayed in the house with us and it was the perfect entertainment environment for them. Air hockey, pool, several large screen TV’s to watch football, and the big covered porch all made for a very nice week for these guys. Usually when a house says it sleeps 13, you are living on top of each other. Inside and out, we NEVER felt crowded at all. We absolutely loved this house and hope to return when we don’t have such a busy schedule and can enjoy the canoes and serenity to the fullest!Thank you to our hosts who opened their hearts and homes to us! They reached out several times and made sure we were comfortable and having a great experience! We have traveled thru Europe and the USA and this house will remain at the top of our list with many sweet memory making moments tied to it!♥️
