Wonderful cabin with excellent views from the deck

We did various activities in the area, but our favorite was sitting out on the back deck. We grilled out some and star gazed a lot with all the lights out!

Peaceful property in a private setting. Mornings were great on the porch, with wildlife to keep you company. Wifi was great, as I was working during my stay.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay!

Cabin was beautiful, clean and easy to access. Pictures don't justify how beautiful the cabin really is. Only suggestion we would make would be to have a bigger water heater to enjoy the beautiful hot tub more! :) Overall loved our stay and will definitely come back!!

Great escape from fireworks

I brought my two dogs down from Albuquerque to escape the overwhelming noise of fireworks. The house was very comfortable with everything the dogs and I needed. The only negative I can say is that you do hear quite a bit of road noise from the nearby main road, which takes away a little from the peaceful mountain experience, but it was far better than the crazy fireworks sounds in the city! Lovely deck to sit out on and enjoy the hummingbirds and I was also lucky enough to see three deer walking nearby. Thanks for a great stay!

A Nice Retreat in a Cool Location

We came to Ruidoso to escape the Texas heat in August. The location did not disappoint. The shade and cool mountain breeze sitting out on the deck were great. Elk and deer wandering into the yard were a pleasant surprise. The location was close enough to town but still quiet and relaxing. The driveway is a bit steep but there is little that can be done as the surrounding terrain is mountainous. The only issue we encountered was the electronic lock on the entry door. Sometimes it took several tries to activate it. The television did not receive local channels for news and weather. After discussing with the host and owner it was discovered a previous renter had logged into their personal account. The owner found the issue, logged them out, and logged back into the correct account. Problem fixed quickly. Overall, a good place to stay in a convenient location and good response from the Host to any questions we had.

Decent cabin

Cabin was very nice. Isolated and in the mountains with plenty of wildlife stopping by. Cabin was well taken care of but unfortunately there was a strong smell of urine near the floor of the master bedroom connecting to the master bath. Unlike the other people that let their dogs pass on the carpet, we kept our dogs in the laundry room and in their travel kennel.
