Our stay was absolutely enjoyable. The house was clean, comfortable spacious, and the outdoor deck had the most beautiful view. The host was very quick to respond and communicative when we have questions. Highly recommended would stay here again.
We had a long weekend in the Gold COUnrty around Sonora, CA. Sonora Hideway was perfectly located between historic Columbia and downtown Sonora. Roomy, clean, well appointed and very kid friendly.
The house was well equipped with amenities and was quite comfortable. A lot of extra bonuses were found in the garage (play time!). An extra bonus ....close to Sonora businesses and restaurants. We'll definitely keep this spot in mind when we revisit the area.
Close to downtown Sonora, easy drive to Bear Creek and Strawberry for snow fun. Beds were comfortable and Kitchen was well appointed. There were a few minor issues but the host more than made up for the minor inconvenience.
We had a wonderful weekend. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and in a peaceful location. We loved the outdoor sitting area with the view of the valley and appreciated that the house was kid-friendly and dog-friendly.

Family reunion
It was wonderful. Family here to celebrate my 80th. Had a great time playing cornhole , playing games and eating. Everyone loved it.
Our family had a wonderful stay. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything you could need. We were a short 10 min drive from the places we planned to visit, and when our daytime adventures were done, we enjoyed playing games and watching the views from the expansive living/dining space. Thanks for making your home available. We'll be back!

Great for families
It was a great experience for our three families. The house had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. There were plenty of plates, utensils, and cookware. The house was very kid friendly and even had a set of dishes just for young kids. We loved the great views and the expansive upper deck. The owners were very pleasant and responded to my questions right away.
5 star stay - nice, clean and roomy with fantastic virws
Usually with houses for vacation rental it’s a hit or miss with not everything turning out as expected. This place was exceptional and an exception to that. We were 11 people from ages 17 to 60 and a small dog. And everyone had a fun and relaxing experience to remember. The basics(heat, working shower/toilet, kitchen, entertainment options etc.) were perfect. The rooms were great and were stocked with extra towels, linens for everyone. Separate levels meant all the kids could hang out separately from the adults. The sunrise/sunset views were on a whole different level. We were even visited by deers on the last day of the journey. I’d definitely come back to this place.
This is a lovely property on a peaceful and quiet street surrounded by trees and a garden. The home was big enough to accommodate everyone in our family and our little dogs loved it, too. Beds were clean and comfortable; we loved the big soft pillows. The open living/dining area allowed us to all hang out and play our trivia games. The sunset on the back porch was breathtaking; porch patio set was clean and comfortable. The house was bright, clean, and welcoming. The garage had a standard J1772 EV charger which was an added bonus; we were able to charge all three of our EVs with no issue.
The hosts were very helpful, communicative, and handled everything well. They were quick to respond to questions
The only issue we had was the water temperature at the kitchen sink - one small turn of the lever to the right produced extremely hot water. This was a minor blip compared to how much fun/relaxation we had at this location. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Property was great! Had plenty of space and was very clean. We were a family of about 10 and everyone had a spot to stay. There were 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Only two things that would’ve made our experience just a bit better. There were definitely not enough towels for all of us. We didn’t realize this until it was too late but they did have a washer and dryer and we were able to run a quick load. Easy fix. Just something we’re going to be mindful of next booking. The other thing was that there was synthetic grass. It was VERY hot and burned some feet. Not really the properties fault but just something to be aware of if you have kids that like to play outside. We had to make sure there was either a blanket down or they played in the few shaded areas. Overall the trip was a success and we had a great time!

Beautiful Stay
This was an amazing property. It was easy to get in and out of. The views were phenomenal. It was clean and well kept up. It was about ten minutes to Columbia and Sonora. The neighborhood was quiet with lots of animals. We had no trouble fitting 10 people. We would absolutely go back again.
Every year we spend a weekend in the Sonora/Columbia/Jamestown area to kick off the winter holidays and ride the Polar Express out of the historic Railtown State Park. This year we decided to rent a house and bring our dogs-- and we are so glad that we did! This is a lovely, wonderful, comfortable home in a beautiful hillside neighborhood with expansive views of the Sierra foothills. It's equally close (5-10 min drive) from the charming towns of Sonora, Jamestown and Columbia State Park. It has comfortable beds, a terrific kitchen, great bathrooms, and cozy living areas. What our 12 and 14 year old boys loved the most was the garage with the air hockey- billiards- ping pong table! They spent hours in there having the best time while my husband and I relaxed, read our books, and knit in the living room with views of the mountains! We are already looking forward to a return trip! The owners are very kind and considerate and are very well organized- we had everything we needed and knew we could call them if something unexpected came up. They gave us great restaurant recommendations in Sonora, too!
