This was the perfect spot for me and my family. So clean and well kept. It is on the smaller side but not cramped. The lake and outdoor area is perfect for swimming and lounging about. The hosts were absolutely phenomenal and we have nothing but great things to say about them and this property. We are already talking about booking for next year. We were super pleased with this experience!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was the perfect up north experience. The location was great for going to Oscoda or Tawas. We enjoyed sunrise on the lake and also evening fires in the fire pit. The communication from the owner was timely and also very helpful. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything needed to cook our meals at the cabin.

From the owner: "Thank you . I’m glad you had a good time, and appreciate how clean you left the place."
Cottage is adorable! Kitchen is stocked with a full-size fridge, oven/stove, microwave, toaster, crockpot, Keurig, dishes, cookware, flatware, & basic cooking utensils. The grill worked great, & grilling utensils & cleaning supplies were provided. The bedrooms had extra bedding, which was helpful since I used the sleeper sofa in the sunroom. It was comfortable & cozy. Also, the AC unit is only in the sunroom, not the main house, but fans were provided & all windows have screens for airflow. Having a washer & dryer available was a nice bonus. The bathroom was clean & stocked with towels, though some tiles were cracked & the shower is a bit dated. The waterfront was the highlight of our stay. The dock was clean & sturdy, & we loved spending time by the water. There are stairs into the lake, & a handle to pull yourself out of the water would make getting out easier when water levels are low. There's also a staircase (about 10 steep steps) & a broken railing that needs to be fixed down to the rocky shoreline, so it may not be ideal for anyone with mobility concerns. There is no sandy beach.A few ideas to make an already lovely place even better: add a streaming device or complimentary Hulu/Netflix, add curtains in the sunroom for privacy, replace the broken recliner & update the worn one, add another couch across from the existing one (possibly a sleeper sofa) and give the landscaping a little TLC. Overall, it's a beautiful waterfront getaway with lots of charm! Will be back!
The cottage was as expected and as the listing shows. It was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and the access to the lake was good. Plenty of chairs and towels to enjoy the lake. Weather could have been better, but we were safe and dry in the rain. We would stay there again.
The view was amazing, it was clean small quaint but very homey and the owner reached out personally to let me know about an air conditioner that wasn’t in the listing! Directions and check in were clear and simple. I cannot wait to come back here possibly with my spouse or a girls trip! So so cute

Cozy Stay on the Water
We had a wonderful stay. We took advantage of the lower deck to enjoy a gorgeous orange full moon rising over the water and wonderful sunrises. We also enjoyed the firepit and watching the storms move across the water. The sunroom was the perfect spot to enjoy coffee and the view of the water without getting soaked when it was raining. Nicely decorated cabin with comfortable beds. Great communication! The owner was courteous and available if needed. No hassle check in. We would definitely stay here again. We are hoping to book again when it is warmer weather to enjoy the water!~The Moore Family~
