Great Stay

It was a great lay out for multiple families and fit everyone very comfortably. The house was very clean when we arrived, the kitchen was well stocked with pans, utensils etc. It’s a good location. The pool and back patio area was a perfect addition to swim but also be out of the sun if you wanted. Would definitely recommend!

Wine down is an absolute gem!

Wine down is the perfect place for a family reunion/gathering. The layout is great, with all four bedrooms in the corners of the house making noise from room to room minimal. The central meeting area was perfect for entertaining with a great kitchen. The outside kitchen and pool area with fire pit was great for hanging outside in the great Concan weather. Overall this is an excellent place to stay and we recommend it for everyone

Nasty pool

Ice maker did not work Pool was nasty. Id advise to have the pool guy come onto the property after check out time. Guests were all police officers and a unannounced stranger on the property could have been bad. Had to do small own maintenance tasks. Possibly service septic system due to smell of poop.

We met in college in 1995 and have been together ever since. Frio River Resorts was started by Brannon's parents nearly 20 years ago and it has been continuously Hightower-family-owned and operated the entire time, with us buying the business in 2018.

We're local and we live in Concan full-time and enjoy serving as stewards of our community with participation in local boards and volunteer organizations. You've likely seen us on River Road as you leave on Sunday supporting the Concan Volunteer Fire Department in our “Fill The Boot” fundraising campaigns, or out to eat at Neal's or House Pasture.
