The Space:
STR-2047
Located in a delightful residential neighborhood on the upscale southwestern end of Colorado Springs, this home is made for indulgence, fun, celebration, and relaxation.
As you approach, you’ll be wowed by the gorgeous mountain backdrop. Pull into the wide driveway and walk a short, neat path to the front door, which is sheltered by a small porch. Step inside and feel instantly soothed by the airy open concept space with its soft, warm color palette and vaulted ceiling that seems to lift your mood to its peak. This space incorporates a large kitchen and a sitting area, encouraging quality “together” time.
Immediately to your right, step into a heartwarming kitchen with a large breakfast island and a backdrop of honey-hued cabinets and rich granite countertops. The island is lined with four stools allowing for comfortable chats with the cook. You’ll find ample counter space and cabinetry, and the perfect tools for whipping up meals that will inspire applause. Enjoy the use of a large refrigerator/freezer with built-in water filter and ice maker, a double oven built into the island, dishwasher, and an induction cooktop. Other kitchen items include a coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster oven, blender, crockpot, griddle, waffle maker, and hand mixer.
Off of the kitchen, a well-equipped laundry room stands ready to serve, with a full-size washer and dryer with iron and ironing board.
The sitting area is bathed in natural light from the sliding glass doors that lead to the backyard. A suite of sumptuous leather furniture faces a cozy gas gas fireplace with a TV mounted above. Sink into the 3-seater sofa, loveseat, or oversized chair with matching ottoman and enjoy a light breeze from the ceiling fan.
Just off of the sitting area, pass under a wide arch and into a bright dining room with a nice long table for six, ready for festive group meals or board games.
Let’s step out of the sliding doors in the sitting area and into the backyard, a space that’s been beautifully curated for good times, and with a gorgeous mountain view! An outdoor sitting area with inviting furniture (including two lounge chairs with matching ottomans) is arranged with a dramatic bowl-shaped fire pit at its center. Take a deep breath and let the flames lull you into a blissful meditative state, or talk together for hours in a delicious setting.
A patio dining table for six has a fire feature, with a row of flames down the center that adds warmth and drama to meals or the cocktail hour.
Nearby, a natural gas grill is built into a stone console, providing counter space on both sides for easy cooking and tidy serving.
Take turns soaking in the luxurious 5-person hot tub, or playing outdoor games in the yard’s open area.
Back indoors on the main level, you’ll find a primary bedroom suite with a private bath. Relax on your queen-size bed beneath a high vaulted ceiling and enjoy the mountain view from your extra-wide bay window. An armoire, and mirrored dresser will keep your wardrobe neat. Inside the en suite bath, a gorgeous, extra-long vanity incorporates twin sinks with a huge wall mirror above. The toilet and oversized, glass-enclosed shower are tucked behind their own separate door.
Guests in the second bedroom on this level will have access to a full bath in the hall with a large vanity and combination tub/shower. The second bedroom is appointed with a queen bed and closet.
The lower level of this home almost functions as its own apartment, with an open concept space that includes a kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge, countertop and cabinets. A bar-height snack table with four stools is a fun spot for casual meals and snacks.
The sitting area is stylish and inviting, with a stove-style gas fireplace in the corner and a large wall-mounted TV. A cluster of leather seating beckons you to put your feet up, with a reclining three-seater sofa and chair, plus an additional oversized chair with an ottoman. Snuggle in and be restored!
Two bedrooms on this level each provide a queen-sized bed and dresser. The larger of the two, a buttery yellow room with a feminine feel, also includes a leather lounge chair.
A full bath includes a large vanity with twin sinks. Behind a separate door, you’ll find a toilet and combination tub/shower with sliding glass doors.
Hotel-grade linens are professionally laundered after every visit.

The host thought of all the extras to make our stay the best and kept us from buying small items of necessity like hand soap, paper towels and trash bags. We would normally pack these items ourselves but we flew in to see our son come home from a deployment and these seemingly small items made a huge difference to us. And the house was very clean, was perfectly located to the base and with a beautiful view of the mountain. We would definitely stay here again!
Just as advertised! Convenient location near Broadmoor Arena. Loved the backyard and hot tub, cozy basement for watching TV. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is as advertised, it is clean and comfortable. The check-in and check-out process was easy and simple. The host communicated in a timely manner and was easy to work with. Our group had a fantastic time and a memorable trip.
The property was perfect for our family who all came in for a baby shower! We had seven adults and a two year old, and there was space for all of us to have our privacy and also to all be together for meals and games. We really enjoyed the location as well.
This property was perfect for us and another couple. Lots of room, great back yard. Enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing experience with this rental. My husband and I came in for the weekend for a trip with friends. We drove over 800 miles and this was a perfect location to see all the things we wanted to see! The house was very well maintained and the hot tub was fabulous!

Hi Jamie! We're thrilled to hear that you had an amazing experience during your weekend getaway! It's wonderful to know that the location worked well for your sightseeing plans and that you enjoyed the well-maintained house and the fabulous hot tub. If you ever find yourself back in the area, we'd love to host you again!
Neighborhood was perfect, basically silent. Near enough to food, shopping, the base and the highway. Great view of the mountains from the house. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family. Checkin itself was easy but booking had extra steps compared to others, not a deal breaker, but can't give it a 5. Enjoyed the locationa nad would stay here again.
The property was very clean and a great layout plan for a group of people. We did not have any problems other than the sensor detectors throughout the property that would sound by the kitchen. Would recommend this property to others.
This is a fabulous home in a great location! Easy access to roadways, close to shopping, grocery stores and Ft Carson. Very comfortable for 3 couples. Lots of living room space both up & down. The kitchen was fully stocked for any meal you want to make. We loved the saltwater hot tub & backyard with a mountain view. Only thing missing was bedside/couch side tables & lamps for reading & ambiance.

This trip was a reward for our daughters who had excellent grades. Our girls really enjoyed their own space downstairs with the 2 rooms and living room space. This house was a great location and it was easy to get to. The fresh mountain air was my favorite part! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans, and spices. The grocery store is only 3 minutes away! The house is very nicely put together and it makes you feel at home.

Hi Vanessa! Congratulations to your daughters on their excellent grades, and we're delighted to have been a part of their reward trip! It's wonderful to hear that they enjoyed their own space in the house and that you appreciated the great location and the fresh mountain air. It sounds like the well-stocked kitchen was a plus, too. We're glad the house made you feel at home, and we hope to welcome your family back for more memorable moments in the future!
This house was perfect for our family gathering. My grandmother and parents took the upstairs rooms while my husband, children, and I enjoyed the downstairs. There’s plenty of room to have your own space but also perfect for sitting together in one of the living rooms, the dining room, or out on the back patio. The fire bowl, hot tub, and mountain view out back is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of hiking or exploring around the area. This house is in a great location, just three minutes from a grocery store, ten minutes to the mountains, and less than an hour from several different tourists attractions. If we’re ever back in Co Springs we will gladly return to this property.

Highly Disappointed
Lovely house, the location was great for our family. First impression was wonderful but buyer beware.
Listing information told us that the garage would be locked and your only parking was the driveway. I guess street parking is allowed.
What they fail to tell you is the owners lock out 2 of the 4 bedroom closets so you have nowhere to put your hanging clothes. This includes the master bedroom. I had to put my hanging clothes in the front coat closet by the entire door. We found this unacceptable and very inconvenient.
If that wasn’t enough inconvenience the owner controls the heat and cooling via Nest remote thermostat. You think you can control the heat and A/C but you really have no control. The night we arrived the temperature fell and we could not get the heat to come on so we bundled up and waited for morning, then all sat in front of the gas fireplace. We stayed 11 - 14 April and the temperatures then rose to 80+ degrees. The A/C wouldn’t come on either. That night the interior temperature rise to 81 degrees. After multiple calls, checking to make sure the A/C unit was uncovered per the rental manager and being told maintenance would be out, then that they would not be out, we were told nothing could be done.
We were miserable. Think twice before renting. This is not an inexpensive VRBO. Your comfort is more important than pretty looks. It is worth checking the details before you rent.

Hi Gwynn.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're sincerely sorry for the inconveniences you faced during your stay. We understand that as someone who rents a condo themselves, you have certain expectations, and we regret that we fell short of meeting them. We apologize for the lack of closet space and the issues with thermostat control. This is the first time we've encountered such concerns, and we're saddened that it impacted your stay. Please know that we've taken your feedback seriously and will ensure that future guests have adequate closet space. Regarding the thermostat, it's set to provide a comfortable temperature, and fans are available to assist with any temperature fluctuations. We appreciate your honesty and will strive to make necessary improvements to enhance the experience for our guests.
