When you’re ready to hit the slopes, the Turoa ski field is a 23-minute drive away, and Whakapapa is a slightly further 46 minutes journey. During a summer stay, hike the Hapuawhenua Viaduct or cycle the Old Coach Road Bike Trail.
The Ohakune Carrot Adventure Park is less than a 5-minute stroll from your doorstep also, which is perfect for the kids. Afterwards, head up to the road to the Ohakune Tavern for a bite to eat and a chilled beverage.
