Cute cottage get away!

Nice quiet neighborhood, we loved and spent time in the private back yard and the flower gardens are so pretty!The house was neat and clean, plenty of room for all. Everyone commented on the unique artwork throughout the house.Had pizza at the Pizza Pit, (delicious), visited the Lewis Station Winery and the local farmer’s market. Just a really nice small town! The owners were easy to reach and quick to respond to any questions!

We really enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage in Lake Mills. It was spotless with charming decor. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals. Coffee was left on counter for us. My grandsons were so excited to see the ping pong and foosball tables in the finished basement. They loved the darts as well! Derek, the owner is very informative and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend staying at this cottage and we will be back

Great little house close to town

My husband and I have been coming to LM for years now. We stayed here with friends for the annual ice festival. It was perfect walking distance to town. The house was clean and cozy. It had everything we needed. Would highly recommended the burgers at Sportsman's Pub! Would also consider staying at this house again.

Property was as described. Clean and orderly. Good storage. Yard area was small. If you've got kids under 10, lots of breakables. Coffee maker was not user friendly nor easily cleaned. Ice maker in fridge was not working (owner said since June).

Close to Madison

Stayed here when I was on a work trip in Madison and wanted to bring my family. Overall, the house was lovely. The neighborhood was walking distance to downtown and the beaches. Short drive to Madison, and everything was a great working order, clean. There were a lot of small objects for a little ones hands to explore and we ended up having to move lots of the decorations. If your kids are over older than six, I don’t think it would be a problem, but with two young ones it was a constant task. And also the stairs to the basement are a little steep. Definitely give this property a five star rating.

The house is very well cared for and in excellent condition, probably recently renovated. The home is a good size for a family and feels airy due to the open floor plan in the front of the house. Everyone enjoyed the ping pong and foosball tables in the basement.The owners were very communicative and helpful.Although some reviews mention that there are a lot of house rules, I thought the expectations were reasonable. I have stayed in vacation rentals with more restrictive rules and more check-out requirements.The town of Lake Mills is a gem. I was surprised by the amount of activity in town and the quality of the restaurants. Though a lot of the food is similar to higher end bar food one finds elsewhere in the state, the ingredients were all fresh and high quality, and the food was carefully prepared.Rock Lake offers excellent recreational activities and was not too crowded even at the height of tourist season. I would recommend renting some sort of water craft. Though there are several public boat launches, much of the land around the lake is privately owned.All in all, I would highly recommend this rental. Thank you to the hosts for making our brief summer vacation a good one!
