Wonderful historic house

The house was amazing. We absolutely loved our stay. We would all love to return one day. The house is spacious, beautifully appointed and was very clean. The owners were some of the best we have ever communicated with. Very responsive. We highly recommend this house. P

Step back in time

The property was everything we expected. My adult children loved the historic books in the home. The back porch was wonderful, unfortunately it rained and we had to eat inside. The back room was a great place for family game night. We were in Lititz to visit our moms and it was an easy drive to see them. A few horse and buggies up and down the street.

This place is a gem!

I simply cannot say enough good things about this rental. We are four senior citizen couples visiting the area to celebrate one couple’s 25th anniversary. We were so happy to find this one, because four bedrooms and four baths is sometimes difficult to find. This home, built in 1795 is like stepping back in time…but with modern conveniences. The home has been either beautifully restored or well taken care of. The outside of the home is beautifully landscaped. Lots of bushes, trees, flowers. We spent a lot of time on our phones figuring out what each plant was. The house has a nice covered patio and, although the house is in a neighborhood, you feel as if you are in the middle of a remote, beautiful area. The parking area was large enough to hold several vehicles. The house is very large, so if you wanted to have an empty corner to sit in, it would be easy to find. There are 3 large sitting areas, not including the outdoor patio. The bedrooms were awesome. There are 3 large rooms with big four poster beds. Warning: the beds are pretty high and maybe difficult to get into. They do have step stools to use, but our shortest friend was not able to balance herself. Luckily, one of the bedrooms has regular size twin beds that she could get into. The house is decorated with photos and items that match the era of the house. All eight of us absolutely fell in love with the place…and it is hard to get all eight of us to agree on many things! The owners of the home were very easy to work with. Very friendly, helpful and reachable. We really felt like it was a honor to stay in this home and would highly recommend it.
