This house was very accommodating and comfortable to stay in. The only thing is the view in the pictures are a little deceiving from what it looks like now. The pools are very nice and so is the management company.
The place was just as pictured and the communication, instructions and directions were clear and easy to follow. Overall we enjoyed the unit itself, its amenities, and location.
This property was a great little getaway from cold and snowy Montana. The condo was nicely furnished, has great beds, nicely appointed kitchen and is in a peaceful yet convenient location. Loved staying here.
We stayed for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the property. Exactly as described and well stocked with beach gear to make use of. We enjoyed the communal pool and the tennis court too. Air con also worked well.
Beautiful condo and great location near restaurants, shops and the ocean. Kona coast vacations was always very quick to respond to all text and emails. Their concierge was super helpful with everything and was amazing to work with.
The townhouse was really nice and comfortable. We utilized the pool and tennis court. Location was great! We want to come back soon!
One suggestion for improvement: having blackout blinds or shades in the bedrooms would have been nice so you can sleep in on vacation if desired.

We found the property to be clean and well furnished. Everything was as advertised. Management was professional and very accommodating. The kids love the pool and we used the very nice grill to cook dinner one night. Would definitely stay here again. Mahalo.

This rental had everything we needed to enjoy thr beaches, located pretty close to the pool for our kids to enjoy each evening. Had plenty of beach equipment which was a bonus, and the kitchen was well appoonted for our family of 6. We cooked all our meals and enjoyed the bbqs beside the pool. We were missing a few linens, but this was quickly looked after :) thanks for helping to make an amazing family vacation :)
It was comfortable and convenient. We had a little difficulty finding it the first day but immediately fell in love with the place. There were flowers and wine welcoming us to the home. Wonderful experience.

Overall very nice condo, easy check in and check out procedures. Condo is close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and all that Waikoloa offers. The only thing that made this a 4 star vs a 5 star was the very strong cigarette smell in the smaller bedroom. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Overall the property was well maintained. There were a few kitchen items that were missing, but we made do. Weāve stay in other units in this complex & this is one of the better units.

This was our third stay in Colony Villas. We were very pleased overall with the property. We could have used more towels and a bath mat in each bathroom. Neither of the GFI outlets in the upstairs bathrooms was functional, but the handyman did help to discover that the reset button for those was in the downstairs bathroom. Not exactly self explanatory and nothing in the property book made mention of this peculiarity. The bedside lights in the master bedroom insufficient lighting to read. Higher watt bulbs are needed since there is no ceiling light. Once again, overall very pleasant with a good floor plan and a quiet location.

OLD & BEAT UP, WITH ROACHES, ANTS, AND A SCORPION INSIDE
DO NOT RECOMMEND! We fought roaches in kitchen and baths, red ants in the middle of the night all over the bedroom walls, and even a scorpion in the bedroom! Not a pleasant stay at this place at all! No beach chairs, so we had to get our own. Speaks to the level of cheap and low-end of this place. Time for paint and remodel! Moldy plastic shower pan, dirty-looking tubs, cracked tile, and leaky faucets. Pictures were faded, old silk plants were dusty and smashed. Nothing like the pictures shown (from a decade or two ago) Never seen this level of low in our 20+ visits to Waikoloa. Very disappointed, and prop managers couldn't find us another place for our 21-day stay so we were stuck. A token refund was issued.

As you know, this is the tropics and pests/bugs are inevitable. Waikoloa/Hawi is the dryest part of the island and unfortunately there are scorpions sometimes, the best way to help avoid roaches and scorpions would be to leave the lanai slider screen closed at all times and as you are entering and exiting through the slider, be sure to always shut it behind you rather than leaving it open and the unit exposed. We have professional quarterly pest control, I'll share your reports with the company so that they can do an additional treatment.
The owner has returned to the island and we are working with them on getting the showers/tub re-done. With limited vendors on the islands, bigger projects like this take time to complete. Aside from the time it takes for materials to arrive on island, most contractors are so swamped that their availability is 3-8 weeks out at the earliest. Rest assured, these items are on our radar and we are working as quickly as our resources allow to remedy.
We do not provide beach equipment, nor is it advertised that we do. Based on your report, we are going to remove the fake plants. Unlike hotels, our units are all individually and wholly owned, therefore they are not interchangeable for reservations which is why we were unable to move you.
We hope that you and your ohana were still able to enjoy your return to the island. Mahalo for staying with us.
This condo was perfect for our family of 4. We wanted to explore and enjoy adventures all over the island, but it was important to have this clean, comfortable, functional home base to start and end our days in. We loved being able to cook real breakfasts and dinners in the kitchen (which had all the cooking equipment we could desire), to avoid the need for restaurant time, expense, and excess. We also loved having the pool and hot tub for a quick option at the end of the day. It's not a pool area that we'd typically want to spend all day in, but that was perfect because it supported us in our goal to get out there and see lots of different beaches and trails. Then if we wanted to take a dip when we got back in the afternoon, the pool was perfect for a couple of hours of fun. The beds and bathrooms were comfortable, and everything was clean.
There were boogie boards, beach chairs, a beach mat, some snorkeling gear, and sand toys already at the condo, and the host provides a set of beach towels as well. My only comment to the host would be that it would be more helpful if they'd let folks know ahead of time what equipment was at the house and what condiments / spices were in the kitchen. This saves people from having to pack or buy that type of stuff before they get to the house - which is really important. If I'd known there would be boogie boards, I wouldn't have bought one at CostCo (and I contributed it to the stack, so there are now 3 at the house). I asked about this ahead of time and Kona Coast said they couldn't confirm one way or the other. It's not a huge deal, but I do wish there were a system where they could just let us know what's there. Saves us some extra trouble and money.
It was a spectacular trip, and a wonderful, cozy place to stay -- very happy with the trip!
We had a wonderful week long stay at Colony Villas. The washing machine was broken upon our arrival but was replaced within two days. The location is perfect with two pools and bbq area close by. Walks around the area were quite enjoyable. The Hilton hotel nextdoor and outrigger hotel in Kona are offered on resortpass if you want a day out at another pool. Golf ,snorkeling, kayaking are all great. Glass bottom boat from Waikoloa Beach was fun!
Everything was clean and there wasnāt anything we could have wanted that wasnāt supplied. The owners took great care in decorating and the kitchen was amazing. We will definitely stay in this unit on our next trip.
I went to Hawaii with my husband and his parents. Was awesome to have the private rooms and bathrooms for both us couples. Loved the open, high ceiling living area. Kitchen was great! And the little patio are right off the dining room was so private! We loved it
