If the weather is nice, hangout on the beautiful flagstone patio surrounded by plants and listening to the soothing water fountain. Have a BBQ or sit by the natural gas firepit at night and enjoy the magical evening ambiance in this well-lit outdoor living space.
Park your car in the attached garage and enjoy sleeping-in with blackout shades in the master bedroom. Light filtering shades in all other rooms, with additional blackout shades in the living area for projector use during the day. Watch cable TV in bed or on the big projector screen, we have local channels, xfinity onDemand, HBO, streampix.

You will have full access to the entire house, patio, garage, kitchen, full size bath, two bedrooms, two California closets, and all amenities on the property.
Amenities include cookware and spices, grill, firepit, fireplace, board games, DVDs, Nintendo Wii, projector and sound system, two umbrellas, tennis rackets, frisbee, soccer ball, basketball, paddleball, jump rope, yoga mat, weights, and lawn chairs. The place is all yours for your stay!
We have two bedrooms and can accomodate up to 4 guests easily. With the additional floor mattress in the master bedroom, we can accomodate up to 6 guests. If you really want to squeeze in, we have have an additional floor mattress that can be used in the living room on a case by case basis.
My wife and I live less than a mile away. We are both very flexible and want you to have the very best time you can possibly have in Seattle.

Phinney Ridge and Ballard are both famous and unique neighborhoods. There are tons of coffee shops, restaurants, and things to see and do in the area, including farmers markets, sightseeing, pub crawls, parks, beaches, and walks. You'll be staying right between the two neighborhoods in a quiet, relaxing, and safe family-friendly area, yet close enough to go out and have some fun in the town.
Just a 10 minute drive south and west are Fremont and downtown Ballard which have plenty of nightlife, bars, and on Sundays, a market of farmers and craftspeople. 15 minutes to downtown Seattle and just a quick drive away for a day-trip to the mountains or the islands!
Don't forget to check out the Barking Dog Alehouse across the street. Bring the growler we provide along, and you will get 1 free regular draft beer fill of the growler, as well as 10% off with your meal purchase.
If you're in the mood for a movie and can't find what you're looking for on Netflix, TV, or our large collection of DVD’s and games, head down to Goodwill (3 min walk) and pick up a DVD, board game, Wii game, or book for only about $2 - $3 each.

All switches in the house are smart dimmer switches. Simply say "Alexa, turn on the kitchen lights to 50%" to control the lights in the home. For manual control, click a lightswitch to turn on or off, press and hold to brighten or dim.
Our home is a three story townhouse and there are two flights of stairs. The Garage and entryway are on the first floor, kitchen, powder room, and living room are on the second floor, and bedrooms and bath are on the third floor.
If you are planning to rent a car, we recommend a small or midsize car. Larger cars such as trucks or SUV's will be very tight in the garage.
We supply various workout equipment and offer a mini gym in the home, as well as many outdoor games and activities. Please make sure to contact us if you have a specific workout or activity in mind, we want to make sure we have the equipment you expect and will be satisfied with the amenities we supply.
Every few weekends between 9am and 5pm we hire gardeners to mow, weed, and clean up leaves in the yard.
There are two nest cameras for additional security and theft deterrence at the entrances of the home. One is at the front door, the other is inside the garage at the garage entrance.

The place was great with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The host was welcoming and very responsive. I’d stay again the next time I’m in Seattle!
We had trouble with the TV in the main bedroom, the coffee maker and the couch is torn. Otherwise, a comfortable, clean home. Looking forward to our next stay.
Nice clean and spacious home away from the bustle of downtown but very near restaurants and amenities. Owner was very prompt with any inquiries. We would stay again.
I was extremely pleased with this rental. My wife and I loved the kitchen and all of the amenities provided by the hosts. The bedrooms were very cozy and the beds were very comfortable.There were local eateries within a short walking distance as well.I highly recommend this rental located in the Ballard neighborhood.
The patio is a perfect place for meditating in the morning with a calming fountain and beautiful garden. I didn't use the fire pit but can imagine a nice relaxing evening around the pit. Very comfortable and felt right at home. The hosts were fantastic, providing plenty of insights into the area and made me feel very welcome. Will definitely stay here again if it is available.

After finishing college I began working as a software engineer on video editing software and have been doing that for the past 10+ years. In the intersection between science and art, I am most at home when form meets function in the most elegant ways. It is so exciting to be able to watch a movie and know exactly how it is made, right down the each pixel. If you're interested in this sort of thing, I love chatting about it-- but be forewarned, you may never be able to watch a movie the same way. The magic of film-making can sometimes go away when you know how it works.
I love adventure! My wife and I met at a Lindy Hop dance, we've been scuba diving, skydiving, and I even have my very own paraglider. If you're an adventurous type too, I'd be happy to give you some ideas for things to do while you're visiting Seattle. I look forward to hosting you and chatting about interesting topics!
