The posting is some what confusing it says no barriers but you share the building with two other units and the guy who owns the house lives right beside you so not exactly private or anything like that. Besides that the place was very well stacked and the host was very nice. Great value for the price
Our stay at Betty and Andy’s cabin was amazing. The property is so clean and fresh, the beds are comfy and it had everything we needed to make ourselves tasty meals. It was perfectly situated for all of our adventures, from Waterton to the Crowsnest Pass. Thank you Betty and Andy for sharing your beautiful progeny with us!
Stayed with my mother and aunt, both in their mid 70s the cabin was just what we needed for a few nights of doing puzzles, playing games and sharing good food and stories. The hosts were friendly and the location was beautiful, close enough to Pincher Creek to grab whatever you need but still feel like you are in the middle of nature. Definitely want to come back.
This was a lovely and peaceful place to come home to after a day of exploring. Eating breakfast and dinner on the porch overlooking the hills was a delight. The hosts were friendly and helpful, responding quickly to our requests. We would happily stay here again!
This property is well maintained and clean. Andy was so delightful to talk to and knew lots of good information about the area. The hot tub is shared, which we didn't know until after we booked, but there was plenty of time for us to use it ourselves. The property is well equipped, it has most of what you need for the time there including separate towels for the hot tub and robes. The area is very quiet and relaxing. We had a wonderful weekend!
Cabin was very clean. Owners were very kind and helpful. Property and local area is great. I am sure it is beautiful when everything is blooming!! Hot tub area is shared and not as private as we perceived when reading the listing, so we did not use it. Other than that, we had a wonderful weekend.
The cabin was fully furnished. All we had to provide is our food. Coffee and tea was available. We had nice talks with the owners, We rented the cabin for a fishing trip in the Castle area. We were so impressed with everything that we have reserved our stay for next year's fishing trip.
Perfect Getaway spot between Crowsnest Pass and Waterton
The hosts are super awesome! The place was so welcoming and so clean and cozy! I definitely recommend staying especially if you need an accessibility option.
We are defining going to book again! The price is very fair as well. Thanks Andy and Betty for such a great respite! I should have booked another night! Next time :)
Incredible stay on the beautiful edge of Alberta prairie and Waterton Park Rocky Mountains
Wow! This place couldn’t have been any better. Betty and Andy were amazing hosts. They thought of everything and prepared the place precisely for our visit with our two daughters. The location is just north of Pincher Creek in a beautiful spot on the edge of the Alberta prairie and the Waterton Park Rock Mountains. We will definitely be back.
Andy and Betty are wonderful hosts and their property is beautiful and well-maintained. A lot of thought and care went into making the cabin and grounds accessible, making it a true treat to visit with my paraplegic husband. Other little details made the stay extra pleasant: a fan, extra pillows, extra sitting spaces, table games and the recommendation to check out the swimming hole around the corner, which our daughter loved (note: not accessible by wheelchair). The kitchen was well-stocked and we were pleasantly surprised to discover breakfast foods provided. The location was quiet and central to many of the sights we were wanting to see. Would 100% recommend and we can't wait to go back!
From the booking process to check out time, it was flawless. With every simple question i had, Betty responded quickly. She was kind to deal with, she explained everything. The directions were spot on! It made my experience stress free. When we arrived hours early, Andy was welcoming. We did have to come back after 4 pm, however, he took the time to show us around. The cabin had everything we needed. It was spotless clean. Being able to enjoy coffee out on the deck in the mornings was so peaceful. The only thing I wished, was wildlife lol. However Betty and Andy's magic only goes so far lol. It was peaceful, flawless and I would definitely return and recommend to others.
Our stay at this cabin was the perfect answer to my husband and I needing a little getaway from the city. We spent a day in Crowsnest Pass and a couple days in Waterton, which is only a 40 min drive away. Just to note this cabin is located adjacent to the property owner's residence. But we found this to be a delight as Betty and Andrew are incredibly friendly, welcoming, conversational, and well versed in the area. They suggested lots of things to check out and were very accommodating. The cabin has a well stocked kitchen and it's own BBQ. They also had all the essential lawn games - bean bag toss, ladder ball, and bocce. The cabin overlooked a beautiful garden and the inside had very comfortable couches and a great bed. We are very happy we chose this location for our stay.
Travelled with 4 adults and 1 child, stayed in the accessible cabin. Such a tranquil and quiet place. Betty and Andy were amazing hosts, they take so much pride in their property and take great care of it.They recently got chickens and my daughter loved to go say hello every day. There is a fire pit available. There is a shared outdoor hot tub and sauna we didn't use, but looked very clean and well maintained. Wifi is good, they had DVD player we didn't get a chance to use but they had several movies available. They had some games as well. Stargazing was incredible. Mornings brought humming birds and deer. There was a nice short walk on the property with a great view, and off property a walk down to an old church. We made day trips to Waterton, and Fernie in BC, and explored Crowsnest Pass. Very central to many parks and close to Pincher Creek for any shopping/grocery needs. A car is a must. We didn't cook major meals, but they have stove top burners and a toaster oven so you can prepare food. The kitchen was well stocked with plates/utensils (notably kids plates and cups!) and they had spices, and oils, and condiments. They even had butter!Really enjoyed talking to Andy, he had lots of great suggestions about the area and interesting stories. We have already booked our next stay.
We were so impressed with the accommodation. It was very clean, spacious, and charming. The hosts thought of everything that might be needed. The kitchen was very well stocked with basic tools, and also included things like condiments and some breakfast stapes. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Anything we needed was provided within minutes. They even made our children's dream of making s'mores come true by providing fire building and s'more supplies when the fire ban was lifted part way through our stay. It was absolutely above and beyond anything we would have expected. Only thing that wasn't amazing was we didn't realize there was a hot tub, because it wasn't listed in the listing. However, it was a very new addition to the property. I loved how the bathroom had plenty of towels of all sizes, and there was a cute basket of beach towels for the hot tub as well. The hosts were very friendly and our children loved exploring the garden to learn about both familiar and new to them kinds of vegetables. We also enjoyed the short walk to the quaint swimming hole. Really idyllic. A truly wonderful place to stay! I would highly recommend this accommodation.
Very impressed with the accommodations! Quaint, cute, comfortable cabins. Andy and Betty are so friendly. They are very helpful in showing us around. The cabins were clean and came with everything you need. There is also a firepit, bbq, sauna and a hot tub, which felt great after a hard day of hiking.
Andy and I bought our acreage in 2016 and have enjoyed renovating our home, and building the cabins which we completed in 2022. We are easing into retirement with this venture and enjoy meeting our interesting guests, many whom return every year.
Why they chose this property
Gardenview Cabin overlooks the Mill Creek valley and several different gardens on our acreage. Our vegetable patch is 60' by 40' and we love sharing produce for your BBQ evenings if requested. We are on a quiet lane with only 3 homes. A short walk leads to a historic church, Mountain Mill United Church, and a popular swimming hole in Mill Creek.
What makes this property unique
