Welcome to SummerSalt cottage in Boothbay Harbor. SummerSalt is an original gem in Boothbay, built in the 1700s. This home has plenty of history as it was once a Gas Station, Cobbler, Bakery, and most recently, a Photographer's Studio. Rumor has it that the home was even once lost in a gambling bet and the grandfather of the gambler purchased the home back for his grandson.
The home was recently lifted with a full foundation added and renovated throughout, you could say it was "turned upside down" hence the name. There is a new large basement that can be used for games and hanging out with family and friends, as well as a brand new deck off the living space.
SummerSalt is located downtown, across the bay, and a few steps from Boothbay's iconic footbridge. You can see the footbridge lit up at night from the large front windows. Watch the sunset over the tidal bay and the fireworks in the summer and winter evening events, all from the living room. Take a walk to your favorite restaurants, bars, and shops. Gather on the deck, play a game of corn hole on the front lawn, or BBQ out back. There are also 4 beach chairs for use.
Whatever you choose to do, we hope that your stay at SummerSalt will be comfortable and filled with wonderful memories.
