Very roomy place for five of us. Low traffic lake was great for taking the boat out. Kids also loved fishing from the dock. Awesome deck on back of house.
Enjoyed the lake views, tranquility, location. Excellent communication from owner. House full of everything you need. Love the kitchen option. Clean comfortable getaway. Nice decor

Wonderful Quiet House
Enjoyed our stay. Just what we were looking for to relax. House was very nice and met our expectations and needs. Fishing from the dock was fun but crappie were small to medium. 75 steps to the dock is a lot of steps for us elderly. Definitely give this place a try.

From the owner: "Hi Jeannette, The steps are plentiful, however, they are gently sloping and gradual. So happy you were able to catch some crappies and found time to relax and enjoy yourselves. We hope to host you again!"
Perfect, and comfortable, lakeside cabin, complete with lots of amenities to make your stay even more enjoyable. Nice outdoor dining with view of the lake. The deck has party lights, a solo bonfire with wood ready to go. There are bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, fishing gear, games…more to do than you’ll have time to do! It is clean and immaculate, as well as in a great location!
The Pequot Lakes cabin was a perfect getaway location for our group of 4. We enjoyed the location on a picturesque lake with a great deck and sunset views. Though you feel like you are in the middle of the woods, you are actually close to town with many shops and good places to eat and drink in the area. The cabin itself is perfect …very clean and well maintained with lovely cabin decor and finishes. Everything you might need is provided. Would definitely recommend!

Snow topped red pines, quiet and peaceful ❤️
We loved our visit to Whispering Pines, and we are looking forward to visiting in the summer when I will bring our boat. And we want to use the bicycles that are available. Tom was very responsive to our questions.
Thank you!! Kay

From the owner: "Look forward to your return visit. I'm glad to read that you enjoyed the fire. Summers are fantastic on Sibley Lake."
This little gem was exactly what we were hoping for. Most incredible view, sitting on the beautiful back deck. The waterfront was perfect with a dock for our son to fish off of and the paddleboards and kayaks were so much fun. We headed out to the left of the dock, until we came across a wonderful large sand bar that we spent the afternoon on. From there, we kayaked and paddleboarded into a little cove where we explored for a couple of hours in the calm and scenic waterway.
We spent the evenings by the campfire with the supplied firewood and we couldn't have been more pleased with our Up North vacation. It was a quick 10 minute drive to shopping in Nisswa and a short 5 minute drive to the grocery store for any needed supplies.
Highly recommend this vacation home!
Our adult family of 5 enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was clean and comfortable and was exactly as advertised. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets. We spent a lot of time on the large back deck. Everyone caught fish off the dock. We used the kayaks and the paddle boards. Two of the guys caught sizable pike and walleye from the kayaks. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the gas grill to cook many of our meals. The crew really enjoyed the coffee bar. The bathroom and kitchen had plenty of towels. We appreciated that the property is dog friendly. There is also a dog park within walking distance. Our 5 night stay was wonderful!
Location was nice on a wooded lot. The stairs going down to the lake were rotting, narrow and very unstable. not recommemded for elderly or small children. The landing at the bottom was nice with a bench to overlook the lake. The deck has stacked patio blocks for the first step that is unstable and too short. There is also a half rock retaining wall protruding from the deck floor extending about 6 ft and 3 ft high that is a hazard which my wife hit when she fell. The deck has nice seating with a table and plenty of chairs. When we baked biscuits for morning breakfast the fire alarm went off and there was no smoke or burning, it drove our dogs crazy and we had to seperate them to stop fighting. The bathroom needs a vanity and mirror on the back wall to place makeup etc. otherwise there is no place to put anything while using the sink. The shower doesn't work properly to get any pressure to the head and dumps water out the spiket while attempting to shower. Overall a nice place but like I said, needs improvement.

Sue, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
Thank you for sharing your cabin retreat experience! While we're pleased you enjoyed your overall stay, we're sorry to learn of your concerns. We value the chance to address them.
-Regarding the lake steps, rest assured they've been reinforced and are not rotted. We've made many improvements, and although it is noted in our listing about the 75+ steps, we'll consider further enhancements.
-Guest safety is a priority. The 3-foot-tall rock wall, located a good distance from the door, poses no hazard. The patio blocks are there to help ease step navigation and our parents -who are in their 80s- and young grandchildren use the steps and deck without any issue.
-The oven and smoke detector were likely triggered due to smoke and we haven't noticed any other problems with it. The sensitive ceiling-mounted detector might activate easily and we're very sorry for any inconvenience it caused.
-The bathroom underwent renovation in 2017. However, the current bathroom vanity, though charming, offers limited space for personal items. We will consider adding a small table or a vanity with a mirror. Despite the handheld shower's slight leakage, it provides ample water.
Your feedback is invaluable, and we appreciate it greatly.
