This beautiful, modern, and immaculate lake front home has 75 feet of level lake front on an extremely desired part of Owasco Lake. The lake frontage is very flat and shallow for children. There is also a deck and channel where to drive in and hook a boat up to.

There is a dinning room table that seats 6 in the dining room and a high top table that seats 4 on the porch in addition to a table that seats 6-8.

This beautiful Lake Front home is minutes from downtown Auburn and downtown Skaneateles. Downtown Auburn is home to the Music Theater Festival with 4 different venues all within a short distance. Both Skaneateles and Auburn have great restaurants. Relax on the lake during the day and enjoy dinner and a show at night.

The front house features 2 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms, fireplace, air conditioning and sleeps 6 (2 queen beds and a king bed). The living room, dining room, and kitchen all have beautiful views of the lake. Off of the kitchen, there is a screened in porch that opens up to a sprawling deck. You can enjoy dinner out there every night by the sunset. There is also a lake front deck that looks over the channel where you can enjoy a cocktail and beautiful sunsets. The back building features a loft with beautiful woodwork and a full bathroom. The loft sleeps 4-6. There is also a single car garage below the loft. Both the house and the loft have cable and WIFI.

Behind the house, there is a 75 x 100 ft lot where you can enjoy lawn games and family get togethers.

We also have access to one of the premier and exclusive golf courses in Central NY. We can schedule a tee time for you to play per your request.

My family and I had the most relaxing, peaceful vacation! The weather was wonderful and the property was just perfect for what we wanted. My only complaint is that we could not reach the property manager regarding a few questions we had. Aside from that, everything was excellent!

Lakeside retreat

Stayed for a week with our 3 adult children. Lake was beautiful and the house was very nicely decorated and very clean. Had a wonderful time reading under trees, lounging by the lake, kayaking and splashing in the water. The screened in porch was very roomy and a wonderful place to hangout when raining. The detached loft over the garage was a very large space for several more people. Short trip to Auburn for groceries and Skaneateles with lots of restaurants and shops.Wonderful week!

Sunsets and scenery

I rented a cottage for my family for a week. The setting was beautiful. Excellent sun sets. Lots of geese flock to the little island right off of the lakefront, and make for a cool experience. Close to Auburn and Skaneateles which is great, especially on rainy days. The dock area is nice to sit on and have a cocktail as you watch the sunset. The water is a little shallow which makes it tough to dock a boat. Overall, it is an excellent spot for a family, or group of friends, to have a relaxing vacation and enjoy beautiful sunsets, and evening conversations around the fire.

Loved the property and the main house. The garage Apt was mediocre.

Overall the house, the lake access was perfect. We loved the screened porch and the shaded lawn. The water was clear. The garage apt where four family members stayed was not cleaned well and had a damp smell. The bathroom was very small.

What an enjoyable stay we had!

Our family stayed for 6 days in this fantastic property by Lake Owasco. The listing was totally accurate and the location much better than the photos displayed on the website. What a nice surprise! Matt welcomed us so well and made every effort he could to make ourselves confortable. I wish we could all go to this house again.We will cherish the memories we built overthere as a family. Our children really wanted me to write this review as they enjoyed this place so much.

Mid-Spring Paradise

We went up for a weekend stay at the end of this April. I brought three of my children (ages 9 to 12) and our chocolate lab up for a fishing weekend getaway and we found a cozy, beautifully finished, modern and bucolic lake front home-away-from-home. The owner is immediately responsive to any and all needs/wants and the location, though nestled away, is only a minute from Tom Thumb's old fashioned indoor/outdoor hot dog/ice cream stand and 12 minutes from a Wegman's. The view of the lake here is absolutely its strongest selling point (the pictures of my children fishing silhouetted against the sunset are priceless). The home has recently been re-finished with hard wood surfaces, modern kitchen, comfortable furniture and large tv with FIOs cable and internet. One of the three bedrooms is a loft, complete with sitting area and its own bathroom, above a spacious garage; it gave the kids a sense of their own space ("the clubhouse") to hang out. The view from the living room window is a long, level backyard, leading to the shores of Owasco Lake. Outside, there is a huge screened-in porch with a table and chairs for eating outdoors. The attached back deck catches warming rays of sun by mid-day and throughout the afternoon, tempered by refreshing lake breezes. (My brother visited from a hotel in the city and remarked that the deck is the kind of place you could sit from morning coffee until evening dinner, watching the kids play while reading an easy paper-back.) The yard is expansive and there is a dock for mooring a boat and natural peers from which to cast a line into adjacent coves (where the fish were constantly jumping, driving the dog nuts). The weather was not warm enough yet, but the lake bottom here is soft stone, making it easy on the feet for young swimmers. The shore also has a bon-fire pit with collected dry wood to allow for warm evenings while enjoying the sounds of the lake lapping the shore and casting a line to catch the walleye that team closer-in at night. Overall, I did not give this the 5 stars it might otherwise deserve because the kitchen did not have a coffee maker and sauce pans I needed; which is likely because we were the first tenants of the new season, before a full amenity check could be completed. I am sure the owner will remedy this by the next visit and you may find a five-star experience awaiting. If you are heading to Upstate, think lake house before B&B, and definitely give this little treasure a try.

We own many rentals and pride ourselves on providing the best living experience for our renters. We bought this house as a summer home for us to rent out and also enjoy. We have a property manager who helps us make your stay an enjoyable one.

Why they chose this property

This property is on the flattest lake frontage on Owasco Lake. You can see up and down both sides of the lake from our frontage. It also is the perfect spot for to see the nicest sunsets from our deck every night while you eat dinner or enjoy a cocktail. We are also minutes away from one of the premier golf courses in Central NY.

What makes this property unique

Our house is air conditioned for those hot summer days. The loft provides privacy for families with kids and there is a huge lawn area on the side and also in the back of the house where you can enjoy family get togethers and yard games.
