Beautiful location, amazing cabin!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay! The property is beautiful with trees all around. Lots of privacy! The outdoor fireplace was where we spent most of our time! The accommodations were roomie and clean. Well worth it. We'll be back here again!

Rustic cottage

Secluded rustic cottage. Lots of space for a family or friends. Clean with all amenities you need. Beautiful outdoor fireplace, hammock and swings. A two minute walk to a lovely quiet beach. Definitely recommend.

Excellent cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The cottage was very clean, with all the amenities you could need. Large, private yard. A quick drive to town to stock up on food etc. A quick walk to a beautiful beach. A real rustic, authentic cottage experience! Would love to stay again! Big thank you to the hosts for having us!

Cozy and rustic. Be aware that we were required to bring our own bedding, pillows and towels even though the cottage was fully stocked with these items. This is not noted on the vrbo ad. We were informed in an email.

Rustic Cottage

Reminiscent of summer camp. The cottage is older with some upgrades. The bathroom was nice, new and clean. The kitchen could do with some updates and cleaning. The fridge temperature even with adjusting had difficulty keeping things cold. The mattresses were pretty uncomfortable as well. The outside was nice. The outdoor fireplace was great for fires and keeps the smoke from owing in your face. The path to the beach makes it quite quick to get there once you find it.

We are a young, busy family of six and we love to spend time at our cottage - and we love to share that space with others when we can't be there ourselves. Over time, we are working on making the space fully accessible so that everyone can enjoy this beautiful part of the world.

Why they chose this property

Our cottage is located just a short two minute walk to the beautiful sandy beaches of Lake Huron, stretching for miles in both directions. Hiking trails, biking, and kayaking are all available nearby, as well as the towns of Port Elgin and Southampton with their shops, restaurants, and pubs. Our cottage is the perfect place to play board games, curl up with a book by the fire, enjoy the outdoors, and watch spectacular sunsets.
