We enjoyed our stay. The house was conveniently located to our daughter’s wedding venue, close to the lake. It was also close to town. We would definitely stay there again.
I really enjoyed my short stay at this property. It was very relaxing and well taken care of. Property manager was VERY prompt and took care of one small issue very quickly. it is close enough to town to get to everything, but far enough out to be peaceful

Great location, clean, comfortable accommodations. Everything you need is provided. Area is beautiful , quiet , out of the way, but easy access to Tullahoma and all shopping and eateries.

Absolutely perfect
This cute little house was absolutely everything we needed it to be! The host was so wonderful!!! We love the zoned bedrooms and the yard!!! We will absolutely be staying here again!!!
It was a nice house. I loved the screened in porch. The door lock did not work the first night we left the house. The owners came after we left with the door unlocked and left a key we could use to get in and out. The next day the burner on the stove caught on fire and I was able to blow it out. The last day we had to take our trash with us and that was not a good experience.

From the Owner: "I’m sorry for the mishaps during your stay and appreciate your understanding. The newly installed lock had a shorting issue, and I did my best to address it promptly. I’ve also followed up with housekeeping to ensure improvements moving forward.Just to clarify, our website does outline the check-out instructions: as trash removal isn’t available in this rural area, guests are asked to take refuse about ½ mile to the Convenience Center for disposal.I’m glad you enjoyed the house overall, and I truly appreciate your feedback."
Overall the place was cute, however if I am being 100% honest, I do think the pictures are filtered and the place looks different in person.
There aren't too many options in the area and it was better than staying at a hotel.
We enjoyed our stay here so very much. We hiked to 30 falls in 3 days..the house is minutes away from Rutledge, Machine/Short springs, Baker Falls, Ovoca and Orphanage Falls, Wetumpka Falls, Cascade Hollow, Old Stone Fort…fabulous. We ate at One 22, Whiskey River and Ragu Pizza. Definitely get gelato at Legacy. The house was comfortable, clean, and we loved the detachable shower heads, comfy recliner and screen porch. Loved the little country church and graveyard and lovely field out back. Just perfect! Coffee lovers:traditional coffee maker only, so bring your own ground coffee. Thanks for your hospitality!!

From the owner: "Wow. Y’all had quite an industrious visit! We’re lovers of waterfalls, as well. I’ll look into getting a coffee press for your future visit. It’ll work well with your fresh ground coffee beans. We look forward to your next visit."

Lovely Home
I rented this home from December 21st - 26th of 2023. My girlfriend is from Tullahoma and has family that live in Tullahoma and Manchester. We usually stay at a hotel whike visiting but decided on Happy Mama's Place. The home is beautiful. My girlfriend enjoyed the kitchen she cooked Christmas diner. Beds comfy and rooms are very spacious.
I had the pleasure of staying at this charming rental, and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. The house is situated in a great location—peaceful and serene, surrounded by nature, yet still close enough to be able to go shopping and explore. The house itself is spacious and well-maintained, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of the property was its proximity to wildlife. We had the delightful surprise of seeing deer, turkeys, and even baby cows right from the yard! It was so peaceful to watch the animals, and it really added to the charm of the place.Another standout feature was the host's responsiveness. Any time we had a question or needed assistance, the host was quick to reply and very helpful. It made our stay even more enjoyable knowing that they were available and eager to ensure everything went smoothly.Overall, I highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a relaxing, nature-filled retreat with a comfortable home to stay in.

From the owner: "We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at ‘Mama’s Happy Place’.I hope y’all take the opportunity to come stay with us again, in the future."
Had a pleasant stay. Nice roomy home. Access to the garage was nice since we had a bad overnight storm, it was nice being able to store my car inside. Did have some cleanliness concerns. There were old dirty socks under the bed and the coffee maker/Keurig was pretty gross, but there was a smaller coffee pot that was perfect so that was fine. We could not locate the trash drop off after check out so had to drive around with trash bags in my car and find a dumpster in town. That was pretty inconvenient. But we will definitely book again when in town again to visit family.

This was a wonderfully furnished, pet friendly property.
The host always got back with us quickly if we had any questions. We were really impressed at how the toiletries and towels so well stocked as well as the kitchen. The location was great for us since were in the area to visit my wife's family. We also took advantage of great hiking and sightseeing at Rutledge Falls, Old Stone Fort, Normandy Lake, Tim's Ford State Park and Old Stone Fort. We were also provided with multiple choices of hiking sticks and camp chairs for our outings. They even provided us with a selection of pet food and water bowls. There is a washer and dryer so you can wash clothes if you need to while you are there. All in all it was a very positive experience and we will definitely book this place again if it available on our next trip. If you do bring a pet be sure to pick up after your pet so it stays pet friendly.

House is located next to a graveyard, which was not disclosed, nor noted in pictures. Mixed feelings about that. The keyless entry was an issue due to the cold weather, but was not disclosed as an issue until we couldn't get the door to unlock, upon travling akl day. Once inside the air was on and it was 42 degrees in the house and took over 6-7 hours to warm it up so we could undress for bed. The close proximity was nice to or son. Nice they had coffee and toiletries to use if needed. We couldn't figure out the TV system. Overall pretty of room to spreadout. Is on a busy road and could hear traffic all hours of the night. Discussed major concerns with property manager.

Hi Kimberly, we’re glad you enjoyed the home’s spacious layout and thoughtful touches like the coffee and toiletries. After sharing your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to provide some context:– Our listing includes a map that shows the property’s approximate location across the road from Bethany Cemetery, which is part of a church. We encourage guests to review the map before booking. Additionally, while the home is in a rural area, the road is a main route into Normandy, so traffic can be busier at peak times. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control.– We’ll add a note above the lock with instructions to gently pull the doorknob when the electronic lock cycles, which will help prevent entry issues. This is a common practice for keyless entry. The Smart TV operates through streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. While most guests haven’t had any trouble using it, we’ve added a label on the remote with the WiFi password and we're also including directions in the welcome book.– Housekeeping had the thermostat set to 70°F, but it was mistakenly left on A/C instead of heat. We’ve reminded them to double-check settings before guest arrivals, especially during colder months.Thank you for sharing your experience. Your input helps us continue improving for future guests.
