We were looking forward to this stay due to the serene location close to town however we were disappointed. The furniture was old, the place was dirty and poorly cared for, and there was no firewood provided despite a key feature of the property being the fireplace. Expensive for what we received.

Perfect for our needs. Lovely bush setting and a close drive to town and attractions.
This is totally good stay for our Sydney trip. Everyone in our group are happy for the location and wonderful scene around cottage.
I would like to come back again in the future.

staying in paradise
The house is set amongst the trees...It was a little hard to find, but when arriving automatically the house was comfortable and inviting. It was clean and had all the things necessary ...just like home. The only disappointing thing was that there was no wood in the fire place and arriving in winter it would have been nice to have the fire ready to light to warm the house.Would love to come back and stay again.Thankyou
Property in lovely location but needs some work. Wood fire needs attention. We did light this but this liberated smoke into the living area. We have a similar stove at home and do not have this problem.Exhaust fans in kitchen and bathroom did not appear to have much effect. There was a lot of condensation throughout house.Overall we have a great stay however for comfort of future guests suggest you address these issues.
The cottage was great for a weekend away with friends. The fireplace is a big tick and the balcony with Bbq catered well. We were disappointed by the cleanliness of the kitchen crockery, utensils and glassware, we had to wash everything before using it.

Cosy and great character home
happy with home and all ameneties in it , cosy home with nice view of trees , driveway is quite complicated and dangerous to manouver , finding house number is difficult as numbers are supee small , brief explanation of how ro arrive would be helpfull , upgrade numbers from home highly recomended . Pizza delivery could not find it also.
Besides that great place !)
Cosy cottage . Enjoyed the stay nice and clean . Enough room for two small families. Kids loved feeding the birds on verandah . Very short drive to Katoomba, Scenic World or Katoomba Cascades . Fireplace works well . Good bathroom with good water pressure and hot water .
This is a great place for a family or small group to stay in the upper mountains. It has a lovely outlook and is well appointed.
The house was clean and the fixtures are well kept (except for the BBQ on the back deck which is in a poor state).
I stayed there with a group of 7 adults for 2 nights when attending an event in Katoomba and it worked well.
The driveway is a bit steep with loose stones which one vehicle had some trouble with, but otherwise I would be happy to return.
Great property for 8 people. Clean facilities and enough space for everyone.

Please don't go.
I understand that Geebung House is being taken off the market. Friends, family and myself that have stayed there regularly over the last 8 years are very sad.
It's a very comfortable, neat and cozy place that we have looked forward to staying at. Although we enjoyed our most recent stay, we were a little upset knowing that it would be our last.
Cheers.

everything was good except the couches which were old and dirty. A dishwasher would make it more convenient.

Great place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at Geebung Cottage (4 Adults & 3 Children). The location is great, short few min drive to Katoomba & Echo Point and a very short drive or even a walk to Scenic World. Nice bush outlook with native birds visiting on veranda. Cottage was very clean and neat. Would recommend to family and friends.

Quiet location
House is located in a quiet area. Heating works well so we were nice and warm on a winters eve. Comfy beds. New bathroom.

Great property
We enjoyed the stay and a few suggested area of improvement to make it better such as (1) inclusion of bath rug on the floor to prevent wetness and slipperiness. (2) was tempted to use the BBQ but the condition in terms of cleanliness is beyond us.

GEEBUNG COTTAGE Blue mountains
We loved it, we came down from up north and were worried we'd be cold. The fire place and gas heater had the cottage toasty warm in no time. Loved the bird seed in the pantry, had breakfast on the deck with parrots and kookaburras. Awesome

Good location
Positives - Very close to Scenic World and beautiful home with back deck and bbq plus many other kitchen utensils. Kids loved the puzzles and card games plus there is a DVD player for movies.
Down side - there was a lot of spiders at night on the deck and there is a cranky neighbour who yells even though we were just talking at 9pm and had no loud music on.
Remember to take pillow cases, toilet paper and shower soap.

great place to stay
We had an excellent time. Our family of 5 plus my mother and father in law had plenty of space and were very comfortable. Just up the street from the scenic railway and 2 minutes from the main street of katoomba. One of the cleanest places ive stayed and so affordable. Will definately be back again
