Cottage living at its finest. This beautiful, south facing, cottage is located on the pristine shores of Kawagama Lake, the largest lake in Haliburton. Built from old pine and set amongst the rock and pine of northern Ontario, the cottage offers an exceptional location for boating, watersports, fishing, swimming and cottage memories. The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests with 8 beds in four bedrooms. The cottage provides ~2,500 sq. ft. of south facing living space constructed from squared, old growth pine, over three levels. The cottage provides for a true log home experience both inside and out while providing all of todays modern amenities..
OUTDOOR SPACES: DECK: You will quickly find that the +500 sq. ft. main floor deck will become the hub of your days, providing beautiful views of the bay, dock and fire pit - a perfect place for enjoying a book, BBQing or simply relaxing with a drink after a full day of outdoor activities. The deck has Weber gas and charcoal BBQ's, two seating areas, each with 4 chairs, umbrella and table.
LAKESIDE FIRE PIT: Evening fires at the large stone, lakeside, patio and fire pit provides a perfect place to end the day with marshmallows and campfire songs. There are 4 wooden chairs and a large rock "bench" for enjoying fires. Firewood is provided.
DOCK: The south facing dock is ~30 X 10 ft. with 4 Muskoka chairs with footrests, ladder, umbrella, boat bumpers and whips. The shoreline has no weeds and provides a gradual slope to an ~5 ft. depth at the dock. The lake bottom is sand and is accessed ladder from the dock. There is a canoe with lifejackets for your exploring the bay and lake beyond. Boat rentals are available at one of the two marinas on the lake.
PARKING: There is parking for up to four vehicles on the property.
COTTAGE: MAIN FLOOR: The main floor of the cottage is the primary indoor hub for your entertaining and is divided into two large open concept spaces. The large living room has a gas fireplace, games table, and multimedia equipment (satellite TV, movies, CD's and records) providing everything for you and your guests for indoor relaxing. The dining and kitchen space provides a fabulous space for interactive cooking with a beautiful dining table providing seating for up to 10.
LOWER LEVEL: The lower level has a wood fireplace, games room with pool table and darts, 3 piece bathroom (shower) and a bedroom with 2 single beds and a set of bunk beds (sleeps 4).
UPPER FLOOR: The upper floor contains 3 bedrooms: master king bedroom (sleeps 2), double bedroom (sleeps 2) and 2 singles bedroom (sleeps 2). There is a three piece bathroom (bathtub) on this level as well.
***Please note that there are ~60 graduated steps from the cottage to the waterfront and bathroom and bedroom access is via stairs from the main floor. The stairs in the cottage have railings on only one side and may be a concern for some with toddlers (although many toddlers have been guests at the cottage without problem).
