About this property

Private Cliffside Cabin in the Woods

This remote cabin in the woods, is atop a hillside, set back from a cliff, that boasts the most breathtaking birds eye view of the rolling forested hills of the Haliburton Highlands. Guests enjoy the view to the horizon with spectacular sunsets, jaw-dropping fall colours and dark skies great for star gazing, meteor shower watching and for the rare but beautiful sightings for the Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights! They love sitting around the campfire, with wood provided, eating smores! They BBQ yummy grub and enjoy staying cozy in the cabin playing board games.

This cabin is conveniently located minutes from the main 100,000 acre property of Haliburton Forest home of the Wolf Centre, Canopy Tour, Guided Clay Target Shooting Experiences, hundreds of kilometres of trails for hiking, biking, running, over 100 lakes for paddling, fishing (some of the best trout fishing in the Highlands) and swimming! We also offer canoe and mountain/gravel bike rentals.

In July and August they host weekly Wolf Howls Thursday nights (free), Astronomy Programs Friday nights, and in 2025 have introduced drop-in Medieval Mondays! There is even a restaurant that offers dine in or take-out options. We recommend takeout to enjoy the view from the cabin!
The cabin has hydro, heat and running potable water.

Sleep up to 10 people in this four bedroom, two floor private cabin.

The main floor features a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, separate toilet room and three-piece shower room with two bedrooms. One queen bed in one bedroom and two single over single bunks in the other, accommodating a total of 5 to 6 guests on the main level.
The second story features a four-piece bathroom, master bedroom with a king bed and a fourth bedroom with two single beds. Accommodating 3 to 4 guests upstairs.
Plenty of free parking. Comfortably fitting at least four vehicles.

Socialize outside, overlooking the forest below while enjoying a campfire!
