With 5 bedrooms, our family of 9 were able to rest well and have plenty of space. It was our first time to be all together since the passing of wife, mom, grandmother.

Beach stay
The house was clean and is in a great neighborhood. We were close to several things and close to the beach.
We came into town to fish, house. Worked perfect for us. Lots of room.

Family weekend at the beach
The house was clean and comfortable, the neighborhood quiet, and the price was great!
Wish the dryer worked though.

From Owner:
Hello Carla,
Thank you for your review. I visited the home and the dryers are working properly. I am not sure why they weren’t during your stay. Thank you.
Stay was okay, the owner really needs to update their photos for this property. The view across the street of this home is their best selling point due to the ocean view.
Needs some TLC and the neighbor's obviously have big issues with this house. We were screamed at, told we couldn't park on a public street, it was ridiculous. It started with our 26 y/o's but when I, Mom got involved they settled down. Overall the stay was fine. Very minimal, so don't expect to be able to cook meals or anything. We were not there for that purpose.

This place was perfect for what we needed. Great views but no access to the water. Cleaning could have been much better. We did stay after the tropical storm, so the outside was forgiveable. But the inside... trash under beds, stained carpet and inside the kitchen cabinets... cleaning crew can do better!
When we arrived at this location, both the lower front door and upper front doors were totally unlocked. The only thermostat we could find was turned off and it was around 53 degrees inside. We could not find a thermostat for the ground floor level and it was in the 40's on that level and two people had to sleep there. I called the number listed on my email from the host for contact and emailed them. I did not receive a response. I called multiple times. I sent a message through the VRBO app and never received a reply. The ice maker in the refrigerator did not work at all and there was no ice in the freezer so we had to buy ice. In addition, the carpeting is littered with stains that it was disgusting. The host that I contacted on Thursday night finally called me on Saturday morning around 11:00 am to apologize that they were out of town. In the meantime, we finally found the lower level thermostat so we had heat finally. We would never stay here again and could not recommend it for the lack of communication, non-working ice maker in refrigerator, and general cleaniness of the house.

Mom's 90th birthday
The overall stay was fine. I reached manager but they did not respond. A shower and the dryer didn't work.
I'll start at 5 stars and work down. Nice neighborhood The AC worked. Water and electricity worked (some outlets didn't). Beds were comfortable. The house was reasonably clean (the landscaping needs work and the house needs some cosmetic improvements). The living (6 seats) and dining (6 seats) area are not suited for 10 people. The ice maker didn't work(could be user error). The dryer didn't work(a technician came out on Monday to look at it but needed a part to fix it. He didn't return before we left on Saturday). The cookware was that of a frat house. Plastic cups and plates. Cheap silverware. The stove top needs a thorough cleaning. There was a vacuum, coffee maker, and a microwave. My personal opinion is the property owners are not committed to providing

Disappointed
The air conditioning on the lower level stopped working, making two of the five bedrooms unusable for three out of the six nights we stayed. The temperature was at least 83F and very humid. Their “solution” was to bring two fans on the last night of our stay—two days after we first reported the issue. The kitchen was poorly equipped. There were very few pots, pans, utensils, and dinnerware—nowhere near enough to accommodate the number of guests the property allows. Additionally, the slow cooker that was listed in the amenities was missing, and the garbage disposal was not working. We also noticed an insect problem, including ants and earwigs. The lawn had not been mowed, and the weeds were at least eight inches tall. There was also a makeshift electrical fix at the lower-level entryway that appeared to be a safety hazard and likely wouldn’t pass an inspection. Overall, the property is in serious need of updates.

My suggestion to anyone thinking of renting this property is "Stay away"! Incorrect Wifi information was sent to me but that was fairly minor. For a house that can host 12 people, there was limited glassware (i.e. 1 wine glass, about 8 plastic tumblers, 2 tiny tea cups, and 4 coffee mugs. Seriously, that was it! The dining area has seating for exactly 5 people in a house that can host 12.The carpets are stained in many, many places and need updating. The steps up to the house need replacing and the front porch screening needs to be totally redone. The outlets in the kitchen didn't work so I called the supposed property manager, left a voice mail and never heard back. Sent a message to them via VRBO - again NEVER heard back. Until the final straw was upon returning from our activities for the day to discover there was NO WATER to the house. No flushing toilets, no showers, no drinking water. Evidently, the city had shut it off, we suspect because the water bill had not been paid. At that point I called EVOLVE's emergency number and finally got a phone number for the property owner after much frustration. She finally returned my call and sent someone over to reset the circuit breaker which was in the locked garage. The homeowner went to city hall and had the water turned back on. I have rented many, many VRBO's and have never had an experience like this. Most are pretty well appointed and taken care of. This one was NOT!
