About this property
Animal Lovers Dream! Barn Loft stay in Burlington complete with Highland Cows
Experience life on a tiny farm just outside the city! Guests describe our place as like staying in a petting zoo. All the animals are very friendly and come right up for love, scratches and especially apples! You will wake up to the sounds of chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, goats, rabbits, sheep, horses and cows. Staying in our barn loft is a true farm experience but with all the luxury of home and more. Guests are welcome to participate in the morning and evening feedings and a meet and greet with the animals. Our farm is conveniently situated midway between Niagra Falls and Toronto and is a perfect spot to relax in between exploring all that these regions have to offer. The Bruce trail and many other excellent hiking trails are at your doorstep during your stay. There are several nature sancutaries within walking distance and the Royal Botanical Gardens, the largest botanical garden in Canada and a national historic site, is just 4 km away. The space Completely private and detached 350 square foot loft apartment located on the upper level of our barn. The lower level of the barn houses the resident animals which are turned in at night to their stalls. The 6 acre property also has a main residence where the property owners live. Guest access For the safety of the animals that live at the farm and for the safety of the guests, we ask that guests do not open any cages, pens or gates besides the ones marked specifically in the check in details. At no time should the guests enter the gated pasture where the animals graze as some of the animals will bite or kick people they are unfamiliar with.
The animals that live at the farm become stressed and upset when other animals such as dogs come onto the property. For this reason we are not able to accept pets. Other things to note Please keep in mind when you are deciding to book with us that the apartment is located on the top level of a barn that is surrounded by the animals that live on the farm. You will be fully immersed in farm life and all that it entails upon entering and exiting the gated staircase that leads to the apartment. In rainy weather it can be muddy. Boots are recommended for spending time around the farm.

It was a wonderful stay, lots of food nearby and the animals were amazing. It was a bit cold in the loft (stayed in December) so bring lots of blankets. Loved it though

Great guest! Left our place neat and tidy. We would welcome Sheldon back anytime.
We had such a wonderful stay! The hosts were absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcome. The room was spotless, beautifully set up, and had a very cute, cozy feel. Spending time with all the animals was truly a highlight of the experience and made it extra special. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway!
Great experience! If you love animals, you really won't regret coming here. We got to feed the calves in the morning, and play and pet all the animals. The loft itself is very cute and cozy, and the hosts were very nice:) It is also only an hour away from Niagara Falls, so it was perfect.
If you love animals, this is the right place. You will see highland cows, pigs, geese, two types of chicken, horse, foals, goats and 3 calves. Dont forget the cat. Very friendly.
This was an incredible experience. Super cute decor inside, very cozy. I would 100% recommend this for a night away if you like the feeling of living on a farm!
The loft apartment was clean, well stocked and comfortable. Farm fresh eggs for breakfast were much appreciated . It was the perfect place to relax and reset. Watching all the farm animals was very entertaining. They all have their own personalities . Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a laid back and peaceful getaway..yes, the roosters are vocal early in the morning...didnt mind at all
Incredible experience!!! Host was amazing!!! Animals are now like family!!! Everything about this stay is fantastic!!! Thank you to Gord for getting us familiar with all the animals and letting us feed them!! 10stars!!!
The hosts were very accommodating! The loft is super cozy and excellently designed. Restaurants only 10-15 mins away. The animals were obviously the best part (for me anyways! Lol) Thank you so much for having us :) It was such an amazing way to spend my 30th birthday!
Oh my word! This was the cutest little loft! It was very clean and cozy. Amber and Gort were great hosts. Amber even sent me texts to let me know info about a calf! And the animals!!!!! I loved the animals. I spent a lot of time in the pens petting the livestock and taking pictures!!! I may have bonded with a few. . This was an overall great place to stay!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and it was even more amazing than we could have ever imagined!!! The apartment above the barn is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and so comfortable. We were able to help feed the animals which was so much fun! The owners were very kind and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back!!
Wow it was great! The drive itself as gear, relaxing and scenic. I enjoyed it a lot the only downfall was the weather, a great excuse to return. Great meeting Amber and Gord. Nicest people.
Wow! Can’t say enough positive things about this place. It is truly what you’d expect but even better. Thank you for the farm fresh eggs and wonderful experience :)
A wonderful, relaxing experience - beautiful location with many friendly animals roaming around that you can help feed, thoughtful and responsive hosts that went the extra mile with fresh eggs and starting a campfire, a private, clean and cozy room. Keep in mind that you can hear the rooster very well from the bedroom at some points, even with noise cancellation. Overall though, we had a magical stay and highly recommend this place to anyone!
On line information & photos were consistent with the reality findings. True enjoyment for 1 or 2 persons who want the farm animal sound experience but without AI technology equipment. And within a 15-20 drive to groceries, etc. Will be back!

Hello Ed,
We are sorry to hear that your stay was unsatisfactory. Because the loft is situated on the upper level of a barn that houses animals there will be some noise, which is part of the charm of booking our farm stay. The apartment is fully insulated and sealed and we have a grey noise machine beside the bed for guests to use if they choose to.
It is unfortunate you did not let us know that you were unhappy with the level of noise during your stay so that we could address it and come up with a solution.
Listing is accurate - we were on the go so only really there to sleep.
Very clean and nice loft. Climate control works well.
The noise machine does help remove a bit of the good mornings by the roosters and chores.
If you arrive late the geese are a bit protective as you try to pass by. The entrance is through the animals.
If you are afraid of farm animals this not the place for you.
Lovely stay and nice attentive hosts.
I had an incredible stay over the holidays at the farm. After a very rough year, being around all the animals was just what my soul needed. Amber is a lovely and accommodating host, as is her partner Gord. I was able to visit with the animals as much as I wanted. My favourite part was feeding the Highland calf Figaro a bottle of warm milk every morning! I loved learning the animal's names and hearing the stories of how they ended up on the farm. The farm fresh eggs in my room was a very nice touch. I did not find staying in the loft over the barn noisy at all and I am a very light sleeper. Looking forward to coming back sometime to try out the dome they are now renting out.
If you're looking to an alternative to the usual home away from home rental property, we'll look no further than this little gem! This cozy loft is on the second floor of a fully functioning barn with all the barnyard animals. Immediately when we got to the location we were surrounded by all these adorable little animals.
We spent some time visiting the different pens, petting them, and even feeding them some apples.
Our reservation and check-in process was super easy. Our host Amber was very communicative and had the loft all ready for us by the time we showed up.
Highly recommend you check it out if you're looking for something different and super fun! 🤘👌👍

About the host
Hosted by Amber Warren
My partner and I own and operate a small farm on the edge of the city. It is important for us to grow our own food in as natural a way possible for ourselves and our community. We are huge animal lovers and love sharing and teaching what we do.
What makes this property unique
A stay at our barn loft has been described as being like living inside a petting zoo! We practice natural holistic farming on a small scale using rotational and mob grazing where many species of farm animals share the same pastures. This helps maintain a lush grazing pasture and healthy happy animals. We provide our guests with a sample of fresh free run eggs right from the coop below the barn. Many of the animals that live at the farm are rescues or "retired" and are living their best life here on the farm.
