We stayed with our dogs to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. The wrap around porch had a gate to contain our dogs that was great. The cabin was nice and had everything we needed. The cabin is in a great location to go to Murphy, Blue Ridge and several other towns. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was a great home base as we traveled about enjoying the fall colors and area waterfalls. The gated porch was ideal for our dog Hunny. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. We would stay again.

It felt like HOME away from home and we will definitely recommend Bear Cabin to others! We love to stay in cabins during vacations and I will proudly say that I cannot think of a cabin I have liked more than Bear Cabin. I believe that our totally blind / mostly deaf dog enjoyed her stay, also!

Nice and peaceful stay in the mountains. Only issues to note is the dishwasher did not clean the dishes very well and there were several wasp nests around the porch that gave us a not so warm welcome.

Quiet Cabin

This was my second time at the Bear Cabin and look forward to many more. My Golden Retrievers love running around the yard and trying to chase the wildlilfe. I like the porch being gated off so I didn't have to worry about them wondering off.

Property was well maintained, nice decorative touches for the holidays. Also, easiest check out procedure I’ve ever encountered. So many properties make you go through a large checklist of things before check out, but this was simple and quick, so I appreciated that aspect very much. Would recommend.

Fireplace doesn't work

A cabin without a fireplace just isn't the same. It has one but it doesn't work. I called the given number and the guy told me it hasn't worked for over a year. My girl and I were very disappointed over this! Other than the the cabin is very nice.
