Really a nice area. I enjoyed our stay but the outside could really use a good power washing and an exterminator. The deck really needs to just be re-done truthfully. The deck was just really grimy and lots of carpenter bees were outside. Almost every window was covered in cob webs and there was large spiders on almost every window. It just gave me the creepy crawlies and I was a little concerned about my daughter and dog getting bit to be honest.

The house was just as advertised with great views of the river. I have stayed at other places in this area but, this was by far the best. The house has everything you need for the stay there. All dishes, pots, pans, and silverware are supplied. We really enjoyed the quite privacy while sitting on the edge of the river. The front deck was great with fantastic views of the river.

This place is absolutely beautiful! Check-in was very easy. Everything on the website is as explained, and it is right on the river, you just have to go down a few steps. Had a issue with trying to get a hold of the person in the pamphlet left at the place and on the Evilve email. The contact person‘s phone number was two different numbers. Both of them didn’t work no response to the email and no response from the host. After two days, I was able to get a hold of Evolve via email with quick response and they give me the owner phone number. I spoke with the owner Joe and he was a delight on the phone. He informed me of some local things to do, the Eagle nest is amazing, you will see deer across the river in the mornings. At night there are no houses around you at all within sight and just the sound of the river is so beautiful. I would highly recommend, we flew into Newburgh airport and an hour and a half later we were here, another world from our hot Florida summer they do say that there is no air conditioning here, but actually there was an air conditioning unit in each bedroom window and one in the living room And ceiling fans and we were quite fine even though it hit 92 in this unusually hot summer. The place was very clean, one of the duvets had a little bit of dog hair on it, not sure if they didn’t realize it had been used, and the windows could use some spiffing up to make the view even more beautiful. Me and my family will be back. Highly recommend!

Couldnt ask for a better location or a house better situated to enjoy it. Watching eagles, deer, ducks, fishermen and we think a bear. We are 3 eomen in town for a high school reunion, could have used a second bath.

A slice of heaven

If you love peace, tranquility and the mountain air this is the place for you. The home is clean, well-stocked, very updated and perfect for a couple or family. The town of Hancock and the surrounding areas are very pet friendly. The river is just off the back yard and is clean, shallow and perfect for a dip or for your pet to swim. There are tubes for use, but we didn't use them because we had our dog. A special treat is the family of bald eagles who have a nest across the river. Every late afternoon the family of bald eagles would put on a show crossing back and forth across the river. The binoculars in the house helped us see them. The owner was great and very responsive. We loved our time there.

The highlight was definitely the environment, including an Eagle's nest visible right across the river (made all the more exciting by the binoculars available at the house), many deer that frequented the yard, a friendly groundhog, and more. The space was clean and comfortable and the view was impeccable. Easy check-in and check-out. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing Vacation

Booked this home with the goal of disconnecting from the grid and decompressing and it definitely exceeded my expectations. For starters, the scenery is amazing. The house sits lonely along the Delaware River and the view is surreal and picture like. It is as good as the posted pictures, very clean, fully loaded with pretty much everything you need, and has an great view of the river. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing time.

great property that is super clean and positioned well along the east branch of the deleware. Fly fishing was tough but it was our first trip to the area. i would recommend this property and would stay here again if we give fishing in this region another go.

The house was very nice. The location was stunningly beautiful! We watched eagles fly by, foxes dash and hide, and deer crossing the river with their fawns. This is by far the most peaceful natural setting we have ever stayed at. What a nice home! Thank you for sharing it!

Much needed get-away

This trip was by far the most relaxing that my husband and I have taken. The view off the deck overlooking the river was breathtaking. Morning coffee listening to the river bubbling by and watching the wildlife is what I dream about when life gets crazy. The Eagles did not disappoint in the evenings when they came in to roost in the nest across the river and watching the fawns splashing and playing in the river was amazing.
