A beautiful slice of Maine and a stones throw from Stonington. Plenty of trails nearby. Highly recommend this property, we will surely be back ourselves.
This was the perfect condo right on the water for our family to explore Deer Isle and Acadia National Park. Deb, Dave, and their dog Snickers were great hosts!
Unbelievable setting with large yard and full view of and access to Deer Isle inlet on which the property sits. Beautifully renovated apartment with host family on site - separated by a mutual breezeway. Plenty of privacy even with the host proximity. Host and family were very helpful with local advice and always available if needed. Super friendly dog on site as well. :). Very convenient location to Deer Isle and other peninsulas and islands off the Down East Maine Coastline for day trips.
Our stay at the Crow's Nest was wonderful. It was so quiet and peaceful with breathtaking views. Deb has done a wonderful job of making this property a warm and welcoming home away from home. We loved exploring all the nearby shops and restaurants that were suggested. We highly recommended this property and would definitely stay again.
My son and I stayed for a week. The property is beautiful and right on the water. We enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen which is well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the overall layout is great.
The host is on site and was wonderful and gave a few suggestions on places and things to see.
I will return it was fantastic.
Deb was a great host! Weather was typical New England - just a bit of everything for summer.

Fantastic Stay!
Truly fantastic! The apartment, the grounds, the view, and the ocean air were everything we hoped for and more. But we were also blown away by the hospitality and friendliness of our hosts: Deb, Dave, and Snickers. This was our second visit to Maine in two years, and it was everything we wanted: hiking, kayaking, sea glass hunting, lobsters from the co-op, blueberry ice cream from the multiple ice cream stops in the isle, and LDI lobster rolls from Little Deer Isle. The unit itself has an incredible view, a lovely cross-breeze, and is outfitted in the very best of everything. We wanted for nothing! Thank you for such a lovely stay. We are eternally grateful.
We enjoyed our stay at this Deer Isle apartment. Watching the sunrise over the water and the deer crossing the lawns started our days off right. The hosts were very quick to respond with one little issue and the space was very comfortable. Only negative was that there was no hairdryer but we would definitely stay there again. Thank you for sharing your lovely space.
Beautifully appointed private apartment. The kitchen had everything you need to cook even complex meals. The proximity of the water meant beautiful views across Eggemoggin Reach and kayaking was possible possible right from the backyard. Deb and Dave were friendly and very helpful hosts. We cannot forget to praise Snickers the Wonder Dog.
Visiting with family while enjoying a vacay away from traffic and the busyness of the touristy areas. The 2 br with full kitchen was perfect fir my cousin and I. The views and salt air were wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside for some people might be that the accommodations were on the 2nd floor. It was not a problem for us. The host was very helpful and the apt was well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the unit was very clean. We loved our stay and hope to come back next year.

what a perfect way to enjoy Deer Isle! Especially if you like to cook and kayak! Deb and David were great hosts and communicators. Check in was easy as could be. We weren't greeted by their adorable and friendly dog, Snickers, but met him the next day. He's very sweet! The kitchen was very well outfitted with everything and anything an enthusiastic recreational cook could want. including a well-supplied spice rack. Same for coffee: keurig or brewing a pot. Definitely do your grocery shopping at the Hannaford in Blue Hill before you head to the island. Cooked lobsters from LDI Lobster (amaze lobster rolls too) or in Burnt Cove on the island(s). More on the apartment. perfectly appointed, comfy beds and bed linens, plenty of towels. Delightful soaking tub. No a/c and we didn't miss it even during the heat wave last week of June. The ceiling fans were great. sitting on the balcony morning noon or night also delightful: lots of birds including a woodpecker and hummingbirds.kayakers delight! we brought our kayaks and were able to put-in right in front of the house and had a delightful sunset excursion. We would visit again in a heartbeat.thanks so much Deb and David!

A Place of Beauty with all the Comforts of Home
We made last-minute plans to visit our family on Deer Isle. We were grateful to find The Crow's Nest, a modern, beautifully appointed, and fully stocked apartment. The dwelling is separate but attached to the main house where the owners live. They were away while we were there but a caretaker was present and available for anything we might need. A breezeway dining space sits between the two dwellings for gatherings if you wish.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you could want: A coffee machine, bean grinder, blender, Wok, lobster pot, and so much more in a modern kitchen. The living room and dining area are comfy and beautifully decorated. Both bedrooms feature comfy beds, oversized pillows, and warm blankets. There's lots of space for unpacking and storing your clothing.
The best is the private deck overlooking a beautiful spot of water and trees. Below is a fire pit and grill for your use.
Our hosts were great communicators and gave us directions and suggestions for shopping and dining. Parking was a breeze.
We are a mom, a dad, and our young adult son and his partner. We loved our stay. Thank you!
Would highly recommend The Crow's Nest.

From the owner: "Thank you Karen for your glowing review. You did a great job describing our property. I'm so glad you had a pleasant visit and hope you will come stay with us again sometime."
We loved staying at The Crow's Nest. My husband and I, our eldest child, and his partner enjoyed the comfortable and well-appointed apartment and the impressive array of amenities in the well-stocked kitchen. The bedrooms were comfortable, with wonderful beds and pillows, and plenty of storage for your belongings.
The apartment includes free parking, is close to shopping, and is close to my spouse's sister who lives on the Island, making it ideal for our family gettogether.
Watching the water and tides roll in and out from the private patio was a treat.
The owners were excellent at communication. They were away during our stay but had a caretaker available for anything we might need.
Our visit was primarily for a family visit but we loved hiking on the Island, shopping in Stonington, and the Puffin Tour to see the bird sanctuary, seals, dolphins, and of course, multiple Puffins and other seabirds.
Be sure to visit Nervous Nelli's Jams and Jellies, giving yourself an hour or more to spend. This is not only a lovely gift shop with many unique gifts, but an outdoor artfest with unusual sculptures each with a story to tell. We also liked Yellow Birch Farms for fresh produce and The Dry Dock in Stonington for gifts. As we visited on July 4th week, we got to see the small town, big-hearted parade. What fun!
Highly recommend.
