The kitchen was well equipped but some of the pans were pretty beat up (but worked). Overall the place was super comfortable, nice beds and bedding. My only feedback is that the 3rd bedroom is open on one side (basically a loft with a door) which worked out OK but was not obvious from the listing.
Dancing Bear Lodge was a perfect weekend getaway for our friend group. We will definitely be back!

Great Cabin
This is our 2nd time staying here and we absolutely love it. It accommodates everyone very comfortably. They provide everything you’ll need to have an enjoyable experience. They’re very quick with communication as well. Can’t wait to come back!
My family felt delightful with the warm cabin.
They had everything you didn’t need to take in there. We had snow, we enjoyed our cabin, going to sky resort.
Great kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, & parking. Everything was great like the post.
We came as a family of 7+dog so my husband could participate in Tour de Big Bear, and we wanted some family time before school started. The home was beautiful, spacious, and super comfortable! TjTje
Such a nice experience at this cabin. The property itself was perfect - spacious, well appointed, and had everything we needed. The owner and property manager were both in touch and totally accessible for any questions. The property manager did a remote check in with us so that we had our door code by the time we arrived (which was rather late due to traffic). Overall an amazing rental experience and we can't wait to come back!
The home is in a nice and safe area. Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels for bathing. The needs some updated pans for use. All other cooking supplies were great. I would recommend pest control tratment since the home had tiny black bugs in several areas. The front door bottom is broken so be careful if you take your pet with you. Backyard is comfortable and has plenty of games to keep your children entertained. The hostess is quick to respond to your needs. Overall it was enjoyable.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the home’s location and some of the family-friendly features. After reading your review, I wanted to share a few things from my side:-The issue you mentioned appears to have been with the screen door, not the front door. This was the first I heard of it, and I offered to send a handyman, but didn’t receive a response. The screen door has since been re-screened.-I’ve gone through the cookware and will be replacing any pans that need an upgrade to make sure the kitchen is fully equipped for future guests.-The home is treated regularly for ants, spiders, and other pests. Since I wasn’t notified during your stay, I wasn’t able to address the issue in real time, but I’m always happy to help when something comes up.-I do my best to provide great service, and I appreciate guests treating the space with care so it’s ready for the next group to enjoy. Thanks again for your feedback—it helps me continue to improve the experience for future guests.

Ok
The cabin served our purpose and there was room for all of us. We were seven adults, one child and dogs. I found a pair of men’s underwear on the floor in one of the bedrooms. Gross.

From the Owner: "Hi Linda: Thank you for this feedback. I sincerely apologize for the men's underwear that was left behind. Something like this has never happened before and we don't understand how it happened this time. I have addressed this with my housekeeper and we have instituted an exit inspection after all cleaning is complete. Again, we apologize for this missed item."
We enjoyed our stay at this relaxing and cozy cabin. It was perfect for our party of 5 plus our dog. The fenced in backyard was sizable for our dog to run around. The location is close to the grocery store, Big Bear Village, ski resorts, and trash drop off. We used the fireplace every night. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils. I appreciated the modern touch pad thermostat which was easy to use. The owners even provided a basket snacks/cocoa to enjoy. Thank you! We highly recommend!

Overall wonderful
Overall, this is a great property. It's got a lot of room, the kitchen is fully furnished, plus it has a gas grill on the deck. It has a nice private back yard with mature ponderosa pines, a picnic table and a couple hammocks. There's plenty of room to park off-street in a quiet neighborhood that's still very close to everything. There are two decent sized private bedrooms plus two in the loft area that's open to the downstairs living area. There's a couple things that could be better, but certainly not deal breakers. The lighting is a little quirky and even with all the lights on, it's still not bright in any space. We were there in July and forgot to check beforehand if it had A/C. It doesn't, but we kept the windows open at night and closed them up during the day so it was pretty comfortable all the time.I'd stay here again.

Not clean
For the most part, It was just a sleep type of place. Throughout the day we were out and about all around big bear having fun. The bed sheets are dirty so take your own blankets and pillows. I guess the previous guest left a quarter behind for us in the middle of the bed under the sheets and we found it. The propane was full wich was awesome, but the grill had old/ used aluminum foil inside as if the previous guests used it and didnt clean it. The backyard has a broken fence and there was a chewed up old table cloth im guessing from the previous guest and some little personal items like lotion chapsticks etc on the floor in the back as well. When we got there, there was plates out on the rack in the sink. The washer doesnt throw out cold water so we didnt use it. Communication with the owner was awesome. My family and i had an awesome time.thank you

Homeowner's Response: "Thank you for your feedback, Destiny. We sincerely value the feedback we get from our guests so we can take appropriate steps to correct problems and prevent them from happening in the future. I was extremely disheartened to read about the sheets and dishes that were not put away. Our expectation for the housekeeper(s) is very clear: sheets get changed every time on all the beds, so that is unacceptable. She was emphatic that all sheets were changed, but I have to base my response on the information I received from you. We do pride ourselves on providing a clean and guest-ready cabin, and this time, we fell short, and for that, I sincerely apologize. We have taken the necessary steps to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you also for notifying me about the fence upon your arrival at our cabin. The weather in Big Bear can be unforgiving at times, and our fence was one of its casualties. The fence and the water supply to the washer have since been repaired. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We have reviewed our cleaning processes regarding the BBQ as well and will be addressing that going forward. Thank you again for providing this very valuable feedback. This information helps us reassess and make necessary changes to ensure that our cabin always meets the expectations of our guests."
