My family and I enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. It was very clean and exceeded my expecatations. It has more amenities than other cabins I have stayed at. Unfortunately their was no snow, but that wasnt a problem. The weather was beautiful and Big trees in only about 5min away and bear valley has tons of snow about 25min away. We will be booking another stay for the summer.

This is our first time (family of 10) staying at a cabin. It was an ok experience. The fridge smelled awful and didn't get to bearable until the day we were leaving. I texted management but no one said anything. A lot of the outlets did not work. No one ever got back to me about the string lights on the 2nd deck. First deck was very filthy. No one cared to clean it. The hot tub was covered in pollen as well as the entire deck. The dishes had cheese and other food from the previous renters I'm assuming that the cleaners never even looked over. It's a good sized cabin and can definitely fit more than 10 people. Would I come again? Maybe. Only if I couldn't find anything else near the area. Plus was that they did let us check out later than originally agreed so that's a plus for management. Close to White Pines Lake and Calaveras Big Tree National Park. Interior of the cabin was clean when we arrived.

Hi Lisa! We're terribly sorry to hear about the lack of communication and cleanliness...it's strange because we work really hard to stay in very close touch with our renters and always seem to get such great feedback (there's even note in your comment that we were more than helpful). As for the cleanliness, this also goes against what we pride ourselves in - a fresh & clean cabin every time! We didn't hear anything from you during your visit about these issues or we surely would have resolved them if they were accurate. Lastly, the deck was cleaned off prior to your arrival, but the pollen/dust builds up, especially during wind storms, which we had just had as well. At any rate, we care so much about our guests and their happiness during their stay, so we're quite sorry that you found the cabin to be less than perfect.

We had 9 family members coming from all over the country to spend a vacation together and Le Chalet fit us very easily. I believe everhthing was in good working order and for the most part the cabin was clean and tidy. The hot tub has locks on it so guests cannot use it. The deck is pretty rickety, it sways and wiggles when you walk across it and the table on it is so wobbly you can't put drinks on it during a meal. There is no AC so don't rent this place when it's hot in Arnold, it was so hot inside nobody on the main or upstairs floors could sleep the first 4 days we were there. They provided a couple of fans but we had to go down to angelscamp and buy two box fans to exhaust the heat out the upstairs windows. With those few quirks, the cabin was ssrviceable and slept all of us. There is a gas grill on the deck, but be very careful, the bottom of it is rusted off and it got the propane tank so hot the first time I use it that I couldn't touch the valve to turn it off. I just pulled the tank iut from under the grill and it was fine after that. The deck behind the garage is collapsed and unuseable, so don't plan on that like we did.
