The Cabin was cabiny

The house was well placed for several days of fishing and bonding with friends. We had plenty of firewood available and the stove is a retro delight.

Beautiful Location

The cabin reminded me of “going to grandparents cabin for the summer.” Lots of throw-back and retro features. Beautiful view and access to the lake. Very peaceful. The oven/stove was fun to figure out and totally worked great!

Great Getaway

We had a great time at the cabin. A huge plus for us was getting away from both cell and WiFi connections. It felt very private, yet we had access to the owners just up the street incase of questions/emergencies. The owner’s extensive VHS collection was a fun way to stay occupied during a storm. The property is not ideal for swimming due to lake weed and that the dock needs to be refinished, I would not recommend walking barefoot on it. Overall we recommend this cabin for anyone needing a break from everyday life.

Charming cabin

We had a wonderful time fishing, waterskiing, reading, playing games, and even enjoyed a couple of movies from the collection of VHS tapes. Our stay was a refreshing disconnect from the internet and we were very pleased with the cabin.

Great "off the grid" Getaway

We stayed at this lovely cabin for Thanksgiving weekend. No water activities due to weather, but plenty of old movies and a wonderful fireplace. Took Don's advice and hiked at the county park.

Sweet cabin on beautiful lake

Wish we could have stayed longer! We had a great stay, very clean & comfortable. Stocked with everything you need. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the stay. Would love to come back and stay for a month. Only downside was no railings on the stairs and no WiFi.

Everything about this stay was terrific. I would caution anyone with ambulatory challenges as the stairs can be slippery when wet, and not all of them have rails.

Fantastically Preserved Lake Cabin

This home and surrounding grounds is pristine and comfortable. We had such a relaxing stay and felt honored to be able to experience this retro retreat. We brought our boat and fished the entire lake just to come back to the dock for the easier caught perch. Fantastic stay! Great value!

It was a great experience, l would like to suggest a change in cleaning the grill to consider providing a tool that is not made of wire bristles. I remembered when l cook÷ on our BBQ, l have a wooden spatula specifically designed to clean & got it from Ace, it's called "the ultimate BBQ cleaning tool". Most places are advocating moving away from wire brushes as they can leaves small wire pieces that could be picked up by food & possibly digested. As they say "food for thought" otherwise, looking for to being again Labor Day weekend

Peaceful stay

Owners were wonderful hosts. Very completely furnished. Loved the log fire. Listing should not really list TV as it could only be used for VCRs. Maybe no TV was good, because I did a lot of reading and got away from the news!
