Wonderful stay in this cozy beach cottage!

Our family of 6 (mom & dad, 4 kids) enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage located right near Arromanches/Mulberry Harbor. Patrick & his lovely family were terrific to interact with and their cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The two bathrooms were great for our large family, the view from the family room was fantastic! The location was ideal as a base for exploring the area and our kids loved watching the tides roll in & out, as well as exploring the harbor ruins during low tide! We highly recommend Patrick's cottage!

Lovely little cottage, sensational location.

My wife, brother in law and I booked this cottage for a week to celebrate my brother in law's 60th birthday and to visit the Normandy beaches where my father in law and his father came into on their ship in June 1944. Patrick, the owner, met us on arrival and showed us around the house and gave us advice on local restaurants. The house, albeit relatively small, is very comfortable. Not shown in the details is the lovely new ensuite off the master bedroom. The view over the Mulberry harbour from the lounge and the back garden is amazing. Restaurants and boulongerie are a five minute stroll away, the beach is a hop over the garden fence. The house is ideally placed for touring the landing beaches, Bayeaux and Caen. Good new garden furniture and a nice big BBQ. If Patrick ever wants to sell the house........

Cute and cozy seaside cottage. Close to all major attractions and steps from the beach!

We had a delightful time staying in this cozy seaside cottage! Right on the beach! The four of us slept very well, plenty of nice sitting area to relax, and two bathrooms/showers that were great! Patrick greeted us upon our arrival! He and his daughter walked us through the entire home, showed us about all the appliances, small hidden areas, and bathrooms! Then he graciously sat down with us for at least 30 minutes (we had questions about the area and about historical sites!!) and guided us through a map of tourist sites, restaurants, and how to navigate around the area! We had such a wonderful time! We cooked breakfast one morning - everything we needed was provided as far as pots, pans, plates, glasses, and cooking utensils. Then every night we would walk on the beach and then sit in the spacious, comfortable living area and drink our coffee taking in the cool ocean breeze from the large picture window in the front of the house! This cottage is so cute and quaint, the location is amazing, and it has all you need for comfort! Patrick was such a wonderful host! I would stay here again for sure! It was quiet and so beautiful! We were there in early December, it was pretty cool and windy, but still so enjoyable! I want to come back in warmer weather! But regardless of time of year, this little beach house is a gem!

Toller Gastgeber und wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang

Die persönliche Führung durch das kleine Haus, war sehr angenehm. Die Gastfreundschaft haben wir gespürt. Zum Essen gehen, tolle Vorschläge bekommen. Nach ein paar Schritten direkt am Meer zusein und den Sonnenuntergang direkt vom Wohnzimmer Fenster zu beobachten, ist wunderschön.

Eine Woche am Strand

Wunderschönes Haus direkt am Strand. Es ist alles vorhanden und der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einige Dinge sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es funktioniert alles. Alles in allem sehr gut.

Wat een unieke plek!

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Asnelle. Wat een bijzondere plek. Iedere dag ontbijten aan de zee, of genieten van de ondergaande zon, vanuit je eigen tuin. Met uitzicht op de in 1944 aangelegde kunstmatig aangelegde haven bij Aromanches des baines. Aan de andere kant was er de bedrijvigheid van de oesterkwekerijen bij eb. Altijd was er wel wat te beleven op het strand. Melodie is mooi huisje, van alle gemakken voorzien, met een attente gastheer Patrick, die ons wegwijs maakte en voor ons klaarstond. Dank je wel!

charmante maison avec un accès direct à la plage

Maison vraiment pleine de charme, très propre avec un jardin donnant vue et accès direct à une très grande plage de sable. Une terrasse en contre-bas permettant de bons repas au BBQ à l'abri du vent et un autre coin repas aménagé à hauteur de la digue offrant une vue magnifique de la totalité de la plage. Nous pouvons garer la voiture dans le jardin devant la maison, fermer le portail et l'oublier durant le séjour. L’accès à la plage est immédiat par le petit portillon à l’arrière du jardin. Cette location offre un vrai confort, tant par ses équipements, que par le soin apporté à cette maison par notre hôte. Les deux chambres avec les 2 toilettes et les salles de bain respectives sont vraiment un +. Chaque pièce est aménagée et équipée avec soin. Nous avons pu passer de très beaux et doux moments que ce soit dans la grande cuisine, le salon cosy par lequel nous pouvions voir la mer ou dans le jardin le soir à regarder les étoiles. Notre hôte est extrêmement sympathique et prend soin de ses locataires . Nous avons deja hâte de revenir. Cette maison de vacances est vivement recommandée, n’hésitez pas à venir et à la conseiller à vos proches.

Une belle maison de vacances avec accès direct à la mer

Petite maison toute mignonne et pleine de charme, propre, confortable et parfaitement équipée, rien ne manque. Les 2 chambres bien séparées et équipées chacune d'une petite salle d'eau offrent un confort supplémentaire très appréciable. 2 terrasses à l'arrière, une à l'abri du vent avec salon de jardin et barbecue, l'autre plus élevée avec table et bancs et surtout une magnifique vue mer. C'est là que nous avons pris tous nos petits déjeuners en écoutant et regardant les vagues qui s'éclatent à 5 mètres à peine, de quoi bien démarrer la journée en attendant le spectacle du coucher de soleil dont on ne se lasse pas en soirée. Accès direct et facile à la plage (à marée basse). Comme nous, notre petit chien a apprécié la maison, le jardin bien clos et la plage comme terrain de jeu. Parking privatif et pratique pour la voiture. Et enfin un accueil très sympathique et convivial avec diverses petites attentions qui font bien plaisir; Nous recommandons cette maison et reviendrons si nous le pouvons pour revivre ces moments de bien être.

Mooi eenvoudig huisje met alles wat je nodig hebt.

Het huisje is eenvoudig maar schoon en heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. De locatie is een prachtige uitvalsbasis voor de invasiestranden. Bij mooi weer een hele mooie tuin aan zee. Aardige eigenaar en makkelijk te bereiken als er vragen of problemen zijn.

La Mélodie du bonheur...

Même si le temps n'a pas été clément qu'une partie de la semaine de notre séjour, cela n'a rien enlevé au charme de l'endroit et de Mélodie, elle a du caractère, tout en positivité, nous avons profité de son excellente literie, de son salon avec vue sur la mer calme ou déchaînée, de sa cuisine entièrement équipée. Nous étions 2 avec notre chien, la propriété est sécurisée et les plages immenses ont été son parc d'attraction quasi privatisé... Si vous avez la chance de trouver une semaine disponible, ne vous posez pas de questions, réservez!!

Merveilleuse semaine dans cette petite Maison Blanche fraîchement repeinte aux volets bleus. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de cet endroit attachant et accueillant, face à la mer et à l’immense plage d’Asnelles. Merci surtout à Patrick pour son accueil, ses attentions multiples à notre égard (le cadeau de bienvenue dans le frigidaire .. et le petit geste commercial du départ !!). Merci aussi pour tout le travail accompli pour nous accueillir dans les meilleures conditions (rénovation de la cuisine , désinfection de toutes les pièces et des ustensiles ...). Bref, tout a été simple et parfait. A recommander aux amoureux de la mer, du calme, du vent aussi mais surtout de la Normandie !

Direkt am Meer!

Das Haus ist vor allem auf Grund der Lage toll. Man schläft bei Meeresrausche ein und auf der Rückseite des Hauses gibt es ein Törchen, von da aus kann man direkt ans Meer. Das Haus ist inkl. Garten komplett eingezäunt. Das ist echt klasse auch mit Hund. Das Haus selbst ist komplett eingerichtet, Schlafzimmer, Bad und Wohnzimmer (z.T. auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen mit 2-3 Stufen) sind recht neu renoviert. Die Küche könnte ein "update" gebrauchen. Für den Winter finde ich das Häuschen mäßig geeignet, es ist einfach nicht gut isoliert und die elektrischen Heizungen verbrauchen einfach echt Strom. Das einzige, was mich wirklich etwas gestört hat, ist, dass das Haus etwas gemüffelt hat, möglicherweise, weil es jetzt einfach in dieser Jahreszeit nicht mehr oft gebucht wird. Für den Sommer wird es wunderschön sein. Für 2 Personen super geeignet.

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand

Das Haus und das Interieur sind zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, genügte aber - bis auf das durchgesessene Sofa - den Anforderungen und unseren Bedürfnissen vollkommen. Toll ist die Lage direkt am Strand, was für unsere Hunde klasse war.
