About this property
Waterfront cottage on 1.3 acres, great fishing, boating & hiking on Restoule!
This is the quintessential cottage experience nestled into 1.3 acres with lots of room to play and enjoy the scenery. Located on Restoule Lake in the Parry Sound District renowned for its great fishing, ATV, and hiking trails.
This cottage offers the perfect northern experience with modern amenities like internet, TV streaming, Keurig, and microwave. The main cottage has two bedrooms. The main bedroom is finished in white-washed pine and has a queen-sized bed and Armour. The second bedroom is huge with a queen bed, bunk bed, and dresser. Other sleeping arrangements can be found in the remodeled bunkie which offers a queen bed and bunk bed. The main living area with new woodburning fireplace is open to the kitchen and has lots of seating on the leather sofas for movie nights. There is a sunroom-style dining room with a cot for an extra guest if necessary. Walk out either the living or dining room back entrance to a sprawling deck overlooking the Lake and the infinity firepit. BBQ is available for use on the deck. There is a private dock that accommodates up to two boats. The driveway accommodates 6 vehicles. The Lake shed has all the water toys including 2 paddle boards, a canoe, a kayak, and extra lifejackets. For an added bonus, feel refreshed in the outdoor shower.
This cottage has had many recent renovations incuding but not limited to new flooring, drywall, insulation, windows, doors, electric base w/thermostats, and a modern updated bathroom with walk in ceramic tiled shower! The main water is from a drilled well which is tested every year. Everything is meticulously maintained throughout as we want to offer a carefree northern experience. There is a portable stand-up air conditioning unit but rarely has it been necessary as the breeze from the lake in the evening keeps the cottage very comfortable.
We are directly across from Restoule provincial park where you could spend the day exploring or enjoying the beach. Hike the fire tower trail for a lookout over all of Restoule. Access to the ATV and snowmobile trails are just down the road from our cottage. 10 minutes to the Town of Restoule you will find Gerry's famous General Store, the market and Buck's Tavern restaurant. 30 Minutes to Port Loring for some dinner at Jake's place or Roxie's dinner. 30 min to Powassan for groceries and unique shops.
If you are looking for that true Northern Ontario experience you have found it.

About the host
Hosted by Adrian McStravick

I have been a real estate investor and landlord for over 25 years and have now incorporated my love of cottaging with the ability to host and manage this beautiful cabin in Ontario's scenic north! I enjoy boating, fishing, flying, and running. I have a career as a realtor which translates into good customer service for my guests. Offering a great cottage experience with modern amenities is what I am striving for.
Why they chose this property
My family and I have always been summer cottagers and when this little gem popped up in northern Ontario we jumped on it. We hope to create the same experiences we enjoy for our guests. I chose this lake for the good natural fishing and true northern feel that one would expect on this kind of vacation. The area offers activities like ATVing, snowmobiling, kayaking, and hiking. I liked that Restoule Provincial Park is directly north of this cottage across the lake. We have enjoyed hiking those trails and camping at the rustic sites on Stormy Lake. This location is within 30 minutes of Powassen or Port Loring for sightseeing and shopping. The General store and Market are within 10 minutes for basic necessities.
What makes this property unique
This property is on a large 1.5-acre parcel of land surrounded by cedars, pine, and Burtch trees that create a very private experience. There is over 150 feet of water frontage with a dock that accommodates 2 boats. The waterfront is ideal for swimming in Restoule's clean waters and this spot is in the center of the lake so you can have ease of access for boating in either direction. The lot offers Loads of parking and has enough open space for playing games!
