Charming gem

We had a lovely time staying at this property. The house is clean and well appointed. The location is great - near to shops, trains and beach. A wonderful backyard for us and our dog to enjoy. Highly recommend

Short Exeter Stay

Central to Semaphore Rd and various amenities. Extremely clean and comfortable. It was unusually hot so appreciated the airconditioning. Nice back garden,outside seats for coffee and good second bathroom. Pleasant and amenable neighbour. Convenient parking at front.

Comfortable home from home

We loved this beautiful old-but-beautifully-done-up house in one of our favourite suburbs. We were able to cook a full Christmas roast with the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed the garden when the weather was better. A 10 minute walk to the beach and lots of cafes. We’d happily stay there again! Thank you.☺️

Lovely Cottage

Nice area close to cafes, shops. Facilities well catered for comfortable home to stay in. Nice back garden that the dogs liked too . Comfortable lounge to relax in .Close to beaches. Overall a beautiful older high ceiling home Had a few extras like herbs salt pepper cooking spray etc. Washing liquid etc ... Quiet street .Nice neighborhood in.anwatch tv in the evening.

Dog friendly doesn’t mean sub standard bedding rugs. Should have taken photos!

Lovely old house and location. HOWEVER…would not stay here again. The bedding and the lounges need cleaning!Carpet square in bedrooms need replacingDog friendly shouldn’t mean gross stains on the floor carpet square, stinky odour in bedroom, dog hair on the bed frame and dirty quilt cover that made me itch! Lounge also needs steam cleaning! Itched whenever I sat on it!

The place is now perfectly clean and there is no trace of anything mentioned above. These were all things caused by your dog that stayed at the property. Action will be taken against you so that future hosts do not encounter the same issues. I have the photos which I have already sent to you.

Charming + Great Location

An old stone cottage in a wonderfully eclectic and vibrant neighborhood adjacent to sandy beaches populated by locals, families and many, many dogs. First time in Adelaide and the appeal of the Semaphore neighborhood resonated with us. Our 4 day stay at the Cottage helped to cement our expectations with a home that provided spacious rooms, a fully functional kitchen, good gas grill, an outdoor area, washing, good bathroom, great king bed and bedding, a superb cooling system and an excellent big screen tv. We explored by day and relaxed in comfort each night. Look, it is a 100+ year old home, so there are some cosmetic warts like cracks in the walls, some uneven floor boards and on a windy day, some rattling windows. Don't let this dissuade you. The description of the property relative to the shops and beach and transport are spot on. Harris Street is tree lined and quiet with equally charming homes and ample parking. We had a car, and parked in front of the home each and every day. Temps and humidity were off the charts for our visit, but the stone home stayed surprisingly cool, and the split system chilled the house when needed. We slept well with no exterior noise and each window is equipped with a sun shade and a blackout shade. Well thought. Large closets provided ample storage. Lighting in the living room could have been better, as could some of the overall quality of the furnishings, but its a rental. We get it. Go for it.
