Wonderful surprise to find the charming cabin in the woods. So close to downtown but far enough away to feel secluded. The cabin had so much charm and so much thought put into designing in. The gravel road to the cabin is a bit steep in a few places but with the right vehicle it’s no problem at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway this place is exactly the place to unplug and unwind.

Neat little getaway in the forest

Absolutely loved the home. From the design to how quiet that area is, to the private deck and forest out back. The road was steep and rocky but we knew that ahead of time with the check-in instructions provided, so we drove a 4WD vehicle. The kitchen was adorable and the light fixtures were all so unique and clearly hand picked for every room. It was a mystical escape that we needed, and deeply refreshing to stay there.

This cabin was absolutely stunning. The photos don’t come close to capturing how beautiful it really is. From the moment we arrived, we were completely taken by how enchanting and peaceful the space felt. Every detail was thoughtful and inviting, surrounded by trees and the sound of nature. The drive in is exactly as described, so a high-clearance vehicle is definitely needed. Once you arrive, though, it feels like stepping into a hidden world. The privacy and quiet make it the perfect place to relax and recharge.Inside, the cabin was spotless and beautifully decorated. The mix of textures, lighting, and cozy touches made it feel both luxurious and homey. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down without even trying. We loved every moment here and can’t wait to return. It truly feels like a little slice of magic tucked away in the woods.

Owls Hoot

We had a hoot of a time at the Owls hoot! What a wonderful get away! This place is top notch and we nested all weekend:). We read about the drive to the home that one of the guests mentioned in their review an had to rent a SUV and we were curious about the road. We drove a 1974 VW Super Beetle and that road was a blast and only added to the charm of our stay. Either way 50 year old car or brand new car the road was not an issue at all, we will be back to the owls hoot for the next VW bug show in Eureka Springs. Sure wish we could add pictures of our stay. 5 stars!!!

Secluded cabin

We loved staying at the cabin. It was really cute and very spacious for 2 people. Getting to the cabin was very difficult, however, which is why I cannot give it 5 stars. The gravel road leading to the cabin is extremely steep, and requires a vehicle with 4 wheel drive. The description on the listing downplays this fact, just mentioning a gravel road and that you may have difficulty with motorcycles or low clearance vehicles. After sliding backwards numerous times while trying to climb the gravel hill in my car, we ended up having to drive to Bentonville (1.5 hours away) to rent an SUV that was capable of getting us to the cabin. Evolve was completely unhelpful when we thought we would not be able to get to the cabin at all. Their solution was to book another place with them and just forget about all the money we spent on this cabin. They wouldn't even transfer the booking fee over to a new rental. They said the owners refused to provide any refund (not even the pet fee). So our only option was to rent an SUV. All in all, I would recommend this rental if you have an SUV or truck with 4 wheel drive. I just wish they would have added a descriptor such as "steep" when describing the gravel road. Based on my interactions it seems that they may have intentionally kept it vague.

Hi Ryan, we passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We do our very best to uphold high standards of hospitality for our property and provide all of our guests with an exceptional experience. Thank you for sharing your positive insight on the spacious area and we're glad to hear that you had a wonderful stay at the Owls Hoot. We aim for transparency and our listing details and photos are accurately advertised for guests to verify if our home fits their needs. We're sorry that you had difficulties with navigating to the cabin. While we did mention the potential difficulties for motorcyclists on the gravel road, guests can rest assured that the property is easily accessible by two-wheel-drive cars and trucks. It's typical for secluded cabins in the beautiful Ozark Mountains to have gravel road access. Thanks for sharing your review.
