The “Log Home” was built in 1938 and added onto in the 1960s. As result the home has a charming and eclectic blend of two distinctive and well-preserved eras. The rentable space consists of 2,640 square feet.
The Log Wing - Has a rustic feel. With log walls and exposed beams. Is home to;
The charming living room with original stone wood burning fireplace. A smart tv equipped with cable for those cozy movie nights by the fire. Expansive Bay facing windows take in the incredible view.
The “Bay view suite” a log bedroom with cozy Queen Bed. In-suite three quarter bath, dressing room and walk-in closet. The bay room faces Shilshole Bay and boasts views of the bay and front garden area. It’s a quiet room but on occasion you can hear the frolicking sea lions.
The Center of the home – Separates the Log Wing from the Cherry Blossom Wing. Its home to; • Fully equipped mid-century kitchen with updated stainless appliances • Mud / Laundry Room • Breakfast nook with Bay views • Dining room with seating for 10 • The "view parlor room" one of the most elegant rooms in the home it boasts cathedral ceilings and exposed beams overlooking the bay.
The Cherry Blossom Wing - Has a comfortable mid-century feel and overlooks whimsical garden area. Is home to;
The "Garden Suite" A quiet tranquil bedroom with lovely garden window nook and cozy Queen Bed. And attached room with single bed and a workstation with desk and ergonomic chair.
One full bathroom with charming iron tub and original mid-century tile.
The unique floor plan of the Cherry Blossom Wing allows the wing to act as one large suite with private bath. Or a suite with adjacent bath (which can be used at a guest bathroom without disturbing the "Garden Suite".
The home is equipped with everting you need to be comfortable; • Outdoor grill • Outside dinning for 6 • Smart tv with basic cable • Cotton linens, bedding & towels • Cookware and dishes • Small appliances • Cleaning tools • We provide enough paper products, soap, shampoo, and detergents to get started. You may need to restock during the duration of your stay.
The Log house Sleeping configuration. • “The Bayview Suite” Main floor Bedroom with Queen bed (sleeps 2) • “The Garden Suite” Main floor Bedroom with Queen bed and single bed (sleeps 3)
Guests will have access to the main level of the "Log House" with the exception of the locked owner's closets and the Log living room loft area.
There are stairs to the bulkhead overlooking the beach. The stairs can be extremely slippery and dangerous, we keep the gate to the beach looked. Guest can request access.
The basement of the "Log House" is off limits to guests. It has an entrance separate from the upper level. From time to time we will access that space time-to-time during your stay.
The Artist loft is above the detached garage. Which is located as you enter the grounds. It is very unlikely that you will ever run into our resident artist. Unless you are both coming or going at the same time
