Too Tyred is a typical beach house, we loved our stay there and wished it could have been longer.
The location is fantastic and we enjoyed walks from the house around the coast along with down the bay for some rock scrambling.
We loved our stay here best of all in Tasmania.
It wasn’t the most modern or the newest or the biggest but we loved everything about it.
Sunny verandah to sit for coffee or a drink; water view;
Very comfortable bed; the most well equipped house hold; dishwasher; washing machine and soap powder provided;clothes line in the sun!
Nothing travellers could want was missed!
St Helens so close for shopping and dining and we did both there.
Thank you Casey so much 😊😊

Great place, had everything we needed.
Location wise:
a. it's a 5min walk to the one and only restaurant in the vicinity, via an alleyway; and another further 2min walk to Binalong bay beach (I didn't see any red & yellow flags/ lifeguards here - so swim at your own risk).
b. Minutes drive to various hikes including Skeleton Bay; and Bailey's beach to Jeanneret beach.
The accommodation:
c. The kitchen facilities were comprehensive. They also provided basic pantry items like salt/pepper/spray oil/foil (although still best to check with host for specifics), that makes home cooking a more viable option.
d. The loungeroom TV was great for watching Netflix/YouTube etc. There was a TV in the bedroom too but we didn't use it. No complaints in bathroom.
e. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated the two types of pillows provided: memory foam vs. normal pillow, so we could mix & match to our preference.
f. The split aircon was great for heating at night, as with so many windows - it can get quite cold at night.
g. Love that they provided laundry detergent, so we could easily do some laundry. Now the washing machine is in the shared kitchen/lounge zone and does make bit of noise - but I just turned on subtitles/captions on TV. There is no dryer, but the foldable hanging line was great.
What could be improved:
h. Unfortunately the dishwasher was broken (E4 error displaying when turned on). I would've appreciated a drying rack for dishes in this case.

Hugely disappointing
Such a disappointment. Great reviews but really very basic. Main criticism was the poor housekeeping. The fridge was really grubby. with an old open packet of mouldy goat cheese inside and in the freezer some revolting yellow mess. Someone opened that fridge to put milk in but clearly didn’t bother to make sure it was clean
Epic fail.
Then there was the grime around the windows -looked like no one had touched them in years. And I had to run the washing machine empty before I was prepared to put clothes in it.
Yuck.
The last straw was the single roll of toilet paper they generously provided.
And thanks to Stayz we paid heaps more than if we’d booked directly.
So that’s a never again to both
