About this property

Sundown Cabin Armidale

Enjoy a thoroughly modern, but beautifully rustic farm experience at Sundown Cabin. Situated on 25 acres, 10 minutes’ drive from Armidale’s fabulous cafés, restaurants and shopping.
The space
Stay in a unique studio cabin, with comfortable king bed, luxurious bathroom, log fire and well-equipped kitchenette. Outside is an undercover area complete with barbeque, outdoor lounge and seating and fire pit (seasonal use per RFS rules). Inside is a comfortable couch, tv and dining area. The kitchenette has a kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, small oven, and stove burners, and all the essentials for preparing a meal.
Guest access
The owners are in a house on the property, but you will have your own entrance, fenced yard and plenty of peace and space to soak up the fabulous view. You are welcome to take a walk through the main paddock (check the gates, so no one escapes) take a dip in the dam – though you would be mad in winter and dogs are welcome to join you, though we ask them to keep off the furniture please.
Other things to note
Our property is best described as a hobby farm in progress . We are originally a family from Sydney who moved to this lovely place early 2022 and are slowly creating the farm we dreamed about . We do have cattle , which are lovely , but are livestock and so we ask you to keep animals away from them and respect any “rules “ we have for your safety ( and the cows ) .

A touch of farm life
we enjoyed the rustic nature of the stay. Delicious warm bed, bathroom with all that you need, nice loung area. Kitchen was spacious. Some great touches…. Friendly cows, lovely view of farmland, plenty of firewood for the slow combustion heater, Even in the pouring rain that we experienced we felt cosy. Nice dog space for our old dog who cant go up and down stairs. Flat out to the grass.

Lovely accommodation with extra touches
We loved the cabin. It’s the perfect place to stay and explore the area and then chill on the veranda soaking up the view . We loved the little extra touches such as the crisps, beer and wine. We’d definitely stay here again if we came back to this area. Highly recommended !!!
