Penguin Paradise in Cowes

About the home

"Penguin Paradise" is a large 6 bedroom, 2 bathroom home on a large ~830m2 size block in Cowes, only 800m from the Cowes boat ramp. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs are three bedrooms - Bedroom 4 (with BIR), Bedrooms 5 & 6 (with smart TV), plus the family room. There is also a bathroom (with shower over Spa bath & toilet) and a separate laundry (with washing machine). Upstairs is the open plan Kitchen / Living / Dining (with coonara-style wood heater, DVD player & smart TV) that provides access the rear covered deck area. Also upstairs are Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 (all with BIR) and a second main bathroom (with shower) and a separate toilet.

Outdoor Areas

The large upstairs rear fully covered deck (with 6-burner BBQ, seating for 10) overlooks the delightful fully enclosed rear garden (perfect for children and pets - there's even a dog kennel), and is accessible from the living/dining room upstairs as well having direct access down to the garden. In the garden is seating for 12 in a fantastic area with a firepit (please bring your own wood), and the garage has been converted into a games room with table tennis table, fuzbol table and darts board. The downstairs covered area has a small space for seating too.

Kitchen

The fully appointed main kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, Aldi pod Coffee machine, etc. plus a double sink, pantry, fridge, two drawer dishwasher, gas oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home has a wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioner in the open plan kitchen/living room and in the bunk room (bedroom 6), plus a coonara style wood heater and ceiling fan in the living room. There are also electric blankets for all the queen beds (bedrooms 1 - 5).

This home has 9 beds plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 18 guests:

Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 5 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 6 (Downstairs): Two sets of Tri-bunks

There is a double divan/sofa bed in the downstairs living room suitable for 2 adults or children.

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a Double bed base with a Single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
