This was such a great place to stay for a short Spring Break. The kids loved the game room, hot tub and playing badmitton. We brought our dog as well and the yard is fully fenced, so we don’t need to worry about her escaping when we weren’t looking. Property is well maintained and clean, with great communication from the host. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for having us!

We had the absolute best time at the Recreation Station! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen had all the essentials, and every little detail felt thoughtful and welcoming. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and close to some amazing trails. After a long hike to Bridal Veil Falls, the hot tub and sauna were absolute heaven. It was the perfect way to unwind and soak in the mountain atmosphere. The host was fantastic—kind, responsive, and made check-in and checkout seamless. We’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, relaxation, and easy access to beautiful outdoor adventures!—Wendy

Hi Erin! We're happy to hear you had a 5-star getaway at our Recreation Station! It's definitely the epitome of comfort in such a relaxing atmosphere. We'd love to welcome you back if you find yourself in the area again - you can always find the lowest rates on all cabins at our site under Tree Line Rentals. Happy trails!
Lovely location, easy to find. Great amenities, we enjoyed the table tennis, propane grill, and hot tub. We knew there would be trains occasionally and we actually enjoyed when they’d go by when we were outside! Inside, we could only faintly hear them. It was 85 degrees but this would have been even more cozy in rainy weather with the several covered areas. If you have wet weather, I think this would be the ideal place to stay! Might have to come back during some drizzle for cocoa and blankets and infrared sauna. It was a little too hot for us to try the sauna on this visit, but it would be a huge plus in cooler weather!
Overall it was a nice couple of days stay. The property had almost everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The only downside is there's a train that passes pretty near by and if you're a light sleeper I'd recommend bringing ear plugs. But other than it was nice and peaceful.

Hi Toan! Thanks for staying with us! Please note we do mention the train in the description of this cabin, "This property is near Highway 2 and train tracks", so guests can make an informed decision as to if this cabin is for them or not. I hope we're able to match you to a 5-star property in the future! Happy trails!
A quaint little property surrounded by the mountains of Baring. The river is across the street on the other side of the properties there. The local bar on the way to Gold Bar is a great stop on the way there/back. Make sure to pack your own food as the local store is currently under construction and is only operating as a post office

A fun stay
We had a great time overall. Having so many options for things to do was great. My only complaint is about the couch. It's not a full size piece of furniture, plus it's extremely lightweight so it and the ottoman slid all over the place on the hard floor. My wife and I tried to watch a movie but it was impossible to get comfortable. It was a small price to pay though and we'll definitely go back.
We had a great time overall. Unfortunately one of the reasons we chose this listing was the pool table shown in photos (our sons loved the one in our previous vrbo) - but it wasn’t actually on site. Also I believe the thermostat on the hot tub is broken as it was too hot to use even at its lowest setting. The forced air in the home is also VERY loud and woke us up even more than the passing train horns did. All that said we had a good time and would return if the hot tub was serviced by a professional. Right now it seems a bit dangerous to leave it as is.

We are so glad you enjoyed our Recreation Station and thanks for the helpful feedback! We truly did our best to convey the switch from the pool table to foosball with this being mentioned in our listing 3 times as well as in the photo captions, but fortunately we have new photos on the way! We did just have the furnace serviced and will get them back asap to address the noise, and please know that we are just a phone call away so if you had contacted us at any point about the spa heat or these other issues we would have happily sent our professional on-call maintenance team to address them. We are live, local hosts and are ready and waiting to help ensure a perfect stay!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
The home was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully set up. We genuinely enjoyed our stay, and there were plenty of activities available throughout the house. The sauna and hot tub were highlights and added a lot to the experience.
There are a few areas that could be improved to make future stays even better:
1. The house temperature was set to 60°F upon arrival, and it took several hours to warm up, during which we needed to keep our jackets on.
2. There was a noticeable smoke odor throughout the home that took about a day to fully clear.
3. The furnace filter was very dirty; fortunately, replacement filters were available and we were able to change it.
4. The coffee machine was not working, though we were able to make coffee using the plunger.
5. The garage game area was a great idea, but the two small heaters were not sufficient to warm the space, making it unusable during our stay.
6. The hot tub itself was great; however, for a home that sleeps four guests, a four-person hot tub would be a better fit.
We were informed in advance about nearby train noise, but it was more frequent and louder than we expected. It didn’t bother us personally, but guests with light or sensitive sleep may want to take this into consideration.
Overall, it’s a lovely property with strong potential, and with a few adjustments it could be an excellent experience.
