About this property

Private Log Home on Kenai Lake!

Welcome to your tranquil lakeside hideaway! This custom log home boasts cathedral ceilings, stunning lake views, a large covered deck with a grill, trout fishing, and a beach full of perfect skipping rocks. Rustic log furniture and original art give guests a truly Alaskan experience.
World-class ocean fishing in Resurrection Bay and glacier-viewing in Kenai Fjords National Park are located 20-minutes to the south in Seward. The famous Kenai and Russian Rivers are located 40 minutes to the west in Cooper Landing. The Chugach National Forest's incredible hiking trails start right out the front door.
On the main floor, skip-peeled log walls surround an open kitchen, living room and dining room. The kitchen boasts a copper sink, maple cabinets, propane cook stove, and dishwasher. The refrigerator contains a large freezer for preserving your harvest of local fish and berries. A queen sleeper sofa and matching armchairs invite guests to relax in front of the wood stove. A large, covered deck spans the back of the house where guests can grill their fresh lake trout while viewing the lake.
A custom log staircase leads to the master suite in the loft. The suite has a rustic, queen-sized, aspen log bed, a walk-in shower and large 8 ft x 8 ft triangular windows overlooking Kenai Lake.
The daylight basement contains two cozy bedrooms that view the lake; the burgundy bedroom has a queen, and the sage bedroom has a full-sized bed. There is also a full bathroom with a double vanity, laundry facilities, and a foyer with a twin day bed.
The cabin sleeps a total of 7 guests. It's a perfect location for families or couples to enjoy nature as well as each other.
We provide trout fishing poles, bait, and a binder full of local information to help make the most of your vacation.

Jesse and Marion share a love for the outdoors and for Alaska. We both enjoy hiking, skiing, biking, hunting, fishing and any other excuse to get outside.

Why they chose this property

The construction of Kenai Cove Cabin has been an incredible adventure. We started clearing the property for this dream log cabin in January of 2009. The log shell was erected that summer with the help of friends and family. We worked on the cabin while completing graduate school, working for the Forest Service, enjoying outdoor adventures, and starting a family. Our home was finally finished in 2013. We are honored to share it with you!

What makes this property unique

The handcrafted nature of the home and its unique features make it a place you'll fall in love with. It's a beautiful and quiet location with access to your own beach on the beautiful Kenai Lake.
