We had an absolutely wonderful 3-night family stay at this cabin! It was incredibly comfortable and perfect for our family. The amount of bedrooms and restrooms was a huge plus and made everything feel easy and stress-free—everyone had their own space to relax. The cabin felt welcoming, warm, cozy, and worked beautifully for a family getaway. After reading some of the previous reviews, we were a little unsure, but everything exceeded our expectations. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect for enjoying Big Bear, and we had no issues during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, and any minor updates would only make an already great place even better. Communication was smooth, and we truly enjoyed our time here. Overall, we had an amazing experience, made special family memories, and would absolutely stay here again.
Nice a big house, i think they need to take better care of the cleanliness, and provide more chairs, there are not enough for everyone

Had a great time with family, the property does need a couple of repairs that could help the overall property and experience. The positive was that we were driving distance to many places and had most of the amenities as described.

Wouldn’t do it again
The dirtiest Vrbo I’ve ever stayed in. Carpet hasn’t been cleaned in years. There were mouse droppings around when we got there and more on the kitchen counter each morning. Heating in the bedroom floor didn’t work and no response from host. Looking at past reviews I see other renters have complained about the Sams items. It appears that the owner lost interest in this property years ago and just using as a chase cow. All in all bad experience

Freezing, static shock, and more
This was our first VRBO experience and most likely our last. The outlets aren’t grounded-if you’re wearing socks, be prepared to feel static shock when plugging anything in.The hot tub was not hot, it was warm at best.At times the shower temperature was freezing, and other times it was fine. We could not tell what were the reasons that determined the water temperature. The pots, pans, and cooking utensils were very flimsy and hard to work with. Two of the stove top burners did not work. Cooking in this cabin was not as great of an experience as we thought it would have been. There are no paper towels or trash bags, so we had to go to the store to get them.We couldn’t contact the host—if you message in the vrbo app, they take a few hours to send you an email, which directs you to a phone number and another email. So we did that and got zero response. There was broken furniture about the cabin, which we messaged the host about, but no response. The cabin is so cold, even with the heat turned up. There’s three floors to this cabin, the first floor is freezing. The second floor is the warmest (probably the only floor that the heater was working), and the third floor where the rooms are is cold—this might be the reason why more than half the group caught the flu on the last day.
Code for front door was incorrectly given several times, code not the same as in email either, had to wait in the cold to wait for her to find the correct code. Same thing with WiFi. WiFi password was not available in the house as stated in the information email sent to us. Host had to look for WiFi password several times since it kept being incorrect. Property is very old, not well maintained, stove didn't work unless we lit a match each time to get it started, tiles in property were cracked and moved, almost caused us to fall. Driveway only fit 2 cars, not as advertised since it stated 4 cars could fit. There was already a huge truck parked diagonally in the garage so couldn't park in there. The wooden floorboards in the patios were lifted and falling apart, trip hazard and dangerous since the floorboards are very old and broken. There was trash already in all the trash cans when we entered the house which contradicted the house rules that each party needs to clean and take out all the trash before the new party enters. We took out all the trash for the previous party and our trash as well but very inconvenient. Pots and pans and utensils we understand are provided in the kitchen but they are very old and very dirty that we did not even want to use due to sanitary reasons. The property advertises how many rooms and bathrooms but the entire bottom floor/gaming room and bathroom was freezing cold and not habitable for our stay, we could not use. Heater does not work there.
