Zahara de los Atunes is a small fishing village which has fully retained its unspoilt authentic charm, and an ideal base from which to explore the “Costa de Luz” and Andalucia.. Whether you are fan of Nature, Sport or Culture, you will have a great choice of activities around: Sea sports such as surfing, diving, wind-surf, kite-surf or fishing but also fantastic hiking, horse-riding and whale watching.. Many “pueblos blancos” (typical white villages) are close by as well as the historic towns of Cadiz or Jerez de la Frontera. You can also visit the roman ruins of Bolonia & if you wish, easily take a day trip to Morocco from Tarifa!

When you are done, sit back and enjoy spectacular sunsets from this most lovingly appointed apartment.

Lovely apartment in stunning location

Lovely apartment with a great setting and beautiful views. Marie-Aude and Joke, the local agent, were very helpful. We enjoyed Zahara and would hope to stay here again next time we visit this area.

Overall the apartment was pretty nice. When we did have an issue (power went out) we texted Joke and he immediately texted back with a resolution. Parking was hit and miss but overall not a big deal. We would definitely recommend and if we find ourselves coming back this way we will stay again.

We throughly enjoyed our time in this Zahara del Los Atunes slice...The views and locale (complete with low season peacefulness) were wonderful...The photos of the unit supplied by the owner, Marie Aude were spot on...She and her on location manager were VERY responsive to our inquiries before and during our stay...Plus, rarely do we find an apartment so carefully maintained...Like almost everyone else who stays here, we dream of returning some day...

Beautiful

We stayed at this apartment in mid-November for 5 nights. Marie Aude and her property manager were responsive and we were very comfortable. The pictures don't actually do the place justice - all that separates the building from the beach and the beautiful ocean is a small lane. The views are beautiful. Parking was easy during our visit, but might be a challenge during high(er) seasons. Though town was quiet, there were plenty of dining options. We would absolutely return.

I can't fully capture how much I loved this trip! Even though Zahara was effectively closed when we were there, looking out of the window at that amazing view was enough. The flat is deceptive - it's bigger than it originally looked, has everything you need, and the decoration is very stylish: the owner certainly has an eye for detail. It's a 3rd floor apartment (with the ground being the 1st floor), so may be a challenge if you're not fully mobile or have a small child. The location can't be beaten. We'll be back!

Zahara de Los atunes is a coastal village we first visited on day trips earlier this year when we stayed in Vejer de La Frontera. This mesmerising village is small but has every convenience you might need plus a myriad of wonderful bars and restaurants. The star of the village is the outstanding endless beach of fine white sand and the phenomenal sunsets. Sunset Atico is located at the western most end of the village and is beyond doubt the best accommodation in the village. A second floor penthouse type apartment right on the beach and although quiet it is within strolling distance of wonderful restaurants,bars and shops. The apartment is wonderfully bright and appropriately furnished in shades of blue and white and is immaculate. The sitting room and bedroom has floor to ceiling sliding glass windows so you seem to be actually sitting on the beach and waking up to see the waves rolling onto the beach is wonderful. The small but perfect terrace at the end of the property is a wonderful place to sit,read and soak up the sun or admire the sensational sunsets…everyday different but always spectacular. The apartment is very well equipped especially in the kitchen and it was a pleasure to prepare and eat some of our meals there. This place is special and we look forward to returning some day .

A little piece of paradise - stunning location!

I was almost tempted not to write a review to keep this little slice of paradise a secret for as long as possible! However Marie-Aude and Joke were lovely to deal with I felt compelled to. The traditional authentically Spanish Town of Zahara has a fabulous unspoilt quirky village feel to it with an amazing array of friendly bars and restaurants even in the low season. Fabulous place to explore the wider region of cadiz but on returning from any day trip you soon realise you are aleady on THE best beach in the area. If long beach walks and coastal paths are your thing you will be in heaven here. Not to mention the perfect nightly sunsets and morning moon sets - AMAZING! With the perfect vantage point from the upper deck at the apartment providing glorious 360 degree views. A great place to watch the ever changing seascape. The apartment itself was truly fabulous so much bigger than it looks online with the most magnificent light and views from every window - just perfect. The attention to detail was top notch everything had been thought of and the decor and little touches gave it a real homely feel. What a find! Walking distance to everything was a real treat not having to take a car out. Thanks Marie-Aude for sharing your little piece of paradise could not have wanted for more for some R&R. What a place!

Inmejorables vistas, propiedad mejorable

El apartamento está muy bien situado pero ha vivido tiempos mejores, necesita varias reformas. En cuanto a la experiencia, hemos estado muy bien pero con poco hubiese sido perfecto: - Necesitaría una limpieza más rigurosa. - Los responsables de la inmobiliaria no hicieron acto de presencia en ningún momento, hubiese sido necesario que nos recibieran al llegar, nos enseñarán la propiedad, cómo se utilizaba todo, y se preocupasen por si necesitábamos alguna cosa durante nuestra estancia. - Sería imprescindible ponerse en la piel del alojado y cómo mínimo proporcionar lo mínimo para poder pasar la estancia sin tener que surtirte de cosas básicas: un mínimo de productos de limpieza, papel higiénico, jabón de manos, gel de ducha,... poco para el propietario y un mundo para el alojado, si como fue nuestro caso llegas un domingo. - Arreglar todo lo que esté estropeado, antes de que entre los viajeros. Tenía 2 televisiones pero solo funcionaba una,... -... Es importante valorar un poco todo lo que se paga, e intentar dar un servicio más acorde a lo que supone económicamente.

Sehr schöne grosse Wohnung in Top Lage

Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht und ist trotz der super Lage sehr ruhig. Zahara ist ein sehr schöner kleiner Ort mit vielen kleinen Bars und Restaurants. Der Strandblick aus dem Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer ist traumhaft schön. Absolut zu empfehlen!

I have left a little part of my heart in Zahara...

Our second stay at this apartment, and it won't be the last. Everything you may need is covered, and the location is unbeatable. Joke makes all the admin very easy. Just one note on Zahara in general - car parking is a nightmare. Prepare yourself!

Amazing 2+ weeks!

There’s nothing more I can write that hasn’t already been said by the previous reviews. Marie’s home is such a perfect place (both home and location) to enjoy all that Zahara de Los atunes has to offer. This was our 2nd extended visit to the area, and her place really allowed us to get to know it better, both because of it’s location to the town and proximity to the beach. There are endless restaurants to enjoy- mezcla zahara and casa blas were our favorites, and miles and miles of clean, sandy beach with shallow warm (we were here may/June) water to enjoy. The house is very well equipped, I did not need anything other than what was provided and the WiFi was enough to allow us streaming movies etc. everything was super comfortable and the AC worked great. Also, while in the center of town it is extremely quiet :) The owner was very nice and quick to reply. Finally a special thank you Joke, the manager who answered any questions in minutes… even on a Sunday. I have never had such a great experience with a rental agent/manager before. If this place is available, book and you will not be sorry!

Traumhafter Ausblick

Wir waren rundum zufrieden und fühlten uns sehr wohl in der Ferienwohnung von Marie-Aude. Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Der Ausblick auf den weiten Strand von Zahara ist ein Traum, ebenso wie die ruhige Lage. Klare Empfehlung!

Sensationelle Ferienwohnung mit spektakulärem Meerblick

Wir waren für 10 Tage im Appartement . Man kann nur nur sagen , es ist noch schöner als auf den Bildern vorgestellt. Kontakt zum Vermieter und Anreise vollkommen problemlos . Der Strand ist endlos lang und die Umgebung ( Vejer de la Frontera / Tarifa/ Gibraltar) runden das Angebot bestens ab. Der Wohlfühlfaktor war enorm hoch ,so das wir die Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen können . Jürgen

Einmalige Lage und komfortables Wohnen

Wir haben die Wohnung nur zu dritt genutzt, damit war es sehr bequem. Die Lage sozusagen auf dem Strand ist herrlich. Der Ort Zahara ist im Winter nicht so lebhaft, was uns aber sehr entgegen kam. Der Weg nach Tarifa, Cadiz und Jerez ist nicht weit. Beeindruckende Natur und ein lebhafter Atlantik haben den Eindruck positiv abgerundet. Die Vermieterin und das Team der Verwaltung sind sehr hilfsbereit und beantworten geduldig alle Fragen. Vielen Dank!
