About this property

The Old Mushroom Farm

Welcome to this special and unique house in the lovely township of Warburton.

Tucked away behind the other houses on the street and surrounded by huge trees and ferns, you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Yet you can enjoy the convenience of being only minutes away from town.

The house is perfect for a couple, but even more perfect for those with young children who will love the huge playground complete with swings, bikes, toys, cubby house, sandpit and trampoline!

The property did indeed used to be and Old Mushroom Farm. Now you will find a lovely cosy cottage which is set up specifically for Airbnb guests to enjoy. My 15 year old daughter and I are proud to own this and also love spending time here when we can.

Features include:

- King bed in main bedroom
- Low line bunk in children's bedroom
- Lots of books and games
- 4 burner electric oven
- Kettle, toaster and microwave
- Tea and coffee provided
- Split system heating and cooling
- Ceiling fan
- TV and DVD player (plus lots of DVDs)
- Outdoor dining and seating
- Wood fire inside (some wood provided, with additional wood easily purchased from nearby hardware, petrol station or IGA)
- Fire pit outside - you will need to purchase wood if you want to use this
- Portacot (please let me know if you require this)
- High chair
- Washing machine and dryer

There are lots of creatures that call the garden home. Over the years, I have seen wallabies, deer, wombats and even a platypus. The birds also love it and you can put some wild bird seed outside to attract the king parrots, kookaburras and cockatoos. Parrots will usually eat from your hand which is a big hit with the children. The lyrebirds may wake you up in the morning with their magical tunes, or occasionally a tap on the window (when they see their reflection).

I am blessed with beautiful neighbors who may give you a wave when you come and go!

Please note there is no WIFI.

Please also note that wood MUST NOT be collected from the property and used on in the fireplace or the outside fire pit. Some wood is provided in colder months, and additional wood can be purchased from the IGA, petrol station or hardware.

We had a great stay at Kester's place. My 2 boys absolutely loved all the toys and outside play area, cubby house, swings, trampoline and lots of ride on toys/bikes. Also my 5 yo loved exploring all the kids DVDs. The house is surrounded by beautiful forest and so close to town. Kester left zooper dopers in the freezer for the kids and marshmallows to roast of the fireplace, she also pre stock the fire wood in both the inside and outside fire pits. She is a very thoughtful host and her place is a beautiful place to stay which i highly recommend for anyone. Would love to comeback one day. Thanks Kester. Ryan, Wini, Oscar & Otis
