About this property
Kingston Mews: A Perfect Parkside Family Sanctuary
This charming 1870s family cottage combines bespoke interiors with creature comforts of home. It's just a five-minute drive from Adelaide Zoo and Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Bounded by trees and parkland, you'll want to be out for a walk at any time, plus the CBD and the trendy dining and shopping precinct of Melbourne Street are within easy reach. Feel right at home in a quiet, light-filled residence offering a full kitchen, free parking, back deck seating, and a Portacot when needed.
The cottage is in a historic group of adjoining row cottages.
Nestled directly opposite the Adelaide Parklands, this gorgeous heritage home is brimming with character. From the moment you arrive, you will be captivated by its old-world charm, while a prestigious parkside address means serenity in nature and being mere minutes from the best of the city.
Stepping through the front veranda, you’ll find yourself in the light-filled lounge room. It has been furnished with plush sofa seating for quiet nights at home streaming your favourite shows (over-the-air broadcast TV is not provided). Through to the well-equipped kitchen, you'll find a dishwasher for easy cleanup and a breakfast bar plus Nespresso machine for slow mornings at home. This space flows through to a back courtyard, with an alfresco seating nook.
The primary bedroom encompasses the upper level with a sumptuous queen-sized bed, built-in wardrobes and side tables with reading lights. A ceiling fan and wall air conditioner keep you comfortable during summer. The second bedroom is located downstairs and has a single bed with a pull-out trundle, ideal for those travelling with kids. Refresh within the monochrome-styled bathroom, replete with a rain shower and matte black tapware. An internal washing machine and dryer combo adds to your holiday convenience.
Parking is provided for one car out the back via a rear laneway, however with plenty of free street parking available it's often easier to park out front.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire apartment to yourself. Please make yourself at home!
The picturesque suburb of North Adelaide is known for its heritage homes, trendy restaurants and high-end boutiques. It’s minutes from the CBD and home to the iconic Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Zoo and a string of ornate buildings including the St Peter’s Cathedral. Explore the neighbourhood’s pretty parks, walking trails and the River Torrens. Along O’Connell Street you’ll discover an excellent mix of cafes, eateries and live music venues. Dine on rustic Italian at Ruby Red Flamingo, delicious South East Asian at Gin Long Canteen and cheerful Mexican at Lucky Lupitas.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
The TV is not connected to an aerial, so you must use the Smart TV apps to stream live TV (personal logins may be required).
For stays longer than 21 nights, an additional cleaning fee will apply. You may enquire about pricing before booking, or the fee will be quoted and charged after booking. Alternatively, we can offer mid-stay professional cleans, including fresh linen — please enquire for pricing.
