About this property

Urban farm on 10 acres 15 minutes to downtown Nashville

The White House @1600 is an urban farm just 15 minutes from downtown Nashville. We have included playing cards, dominos, several board games as well as an XBOX with KINNECT and WII. No need to worry about coffee as we keep a good stock of K-cups on hand as well as cream, sugar and honey. We also invite you to enjoy the welcome basket of treats and want you to feel free to help yourself to any of the items in the fridge and cabinets (usually there will be some fresh eggs from our chickens). Our guests are able to access free WiFi as well as Dish Network services. The property is 10 beautiful acres and we hope you have time to get outside and explore our piece of paradise. Ask us about using the land as a private event space as well. This house has been completely remodeled and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.

1 BR, + extra long bunk house, full bath, full kitchen and LR. Stainless appliances and quartz countertop. Flatscreen TV with Dish network service, XBOX 360, WII plus large sectional in LR. 1 mile from Peeler Park.

Restful retreat

The communication with the owner was outstanding. Wonderful getaway close to downtown Nashville (15 minutes) but definitely had a rural feel to it. Very clean and everything on the property was as promised. Highly recommend and we will be back the next time we visit Nashville.

Awesome Spot Right Outside Nashville

My wife and I stayed here at the end of our recent road trip and the White House was perfect. Clean, quiet, and close enough to enjoy all Nashville has to offer. Great communication from the hosts. Hope to stay here again soon!

We loved this place! It was so nice and cute! It was a 10 min drive to the Opry Mills Mall and a 13 min drive to Broadway. Check in and check out was so easy! And the owners were great! They were always willing to answer our questions! I can’t wait to come back! I highly recommend this property!

Adorable farmhouse

The house was clean, cute, and well stocked with necessities. The owners were very responsive and the location was perfect. Close to the attractions but away from the bustle and traffic.

Escape and relax

It was so nice to be out in the country after being in the downtown area most of the day. It was so relaxing and the perfect way to unwind. I especially enjoyed the view as we drove towards downtown/East Nashville....very pretty seeing the hills, trees, and exposed rock.

Perfect Oasis after the city!

This was the perfect getaway for our weekend girl's trip. Me and my daughters (7 and 10) enjoyed a peaceful getaway after the business of the city. Hosts were very kind and accommodating and everything was clean and cozy. It's close enough to the city that you can get there easily, but far enough that you feel like you're getting away. Would definitely recommend!

Clean house in a great location

The hosts were excellent. The house is really cute, on a quiet piece of property. But still close to everything we needed. Nothing in the Nashville area was very far.

Peaceful retreat

A beautiful clean house. We enjoyed the farm animals and wild turkeys. Though not ideal for 5 large adults, the sleeping accomodations would be perfect for a couple with kids (1 comfortable queen bed, 2 bunk beds, 2 couches). Overall, a wonderful place to stay!

We were so blessed to have found this gem for our Nashville stay! The hospitality Mrs. Janice showed us was impeccable! She was so sweet and so accommodating. The house was perfect for me, my husband, and our son. It was so clean and very welcoming. The location of the house to all the things we did was perfect. Nothing was more than 20-30 minutes away, except the NASCAR race, but it was 45 minutes away. If we are ever in the area again, we will be rebooking this amazing space! Book it! You will not regret it!

Absolutely amazing!!

We came to Nashville as a stop on our long roadtrip vacation. We found this AMAZING property while browsing the bnb's in the area. This place is super affordable, comfortable, cute and cozy. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and provide great conversation and even better company. It is a sweet little place in the country. If we ever find our way back to Nashville we will definitely stay here again!

Nashville Getaway

Came to town with the guys for a quick weekend to hit Broadway, see the sights and see the Wild play the Preds. Property was clean and inviting, easy to Uber or Lyft to or from. Decent distance from all of our destinations and the property owners were fantastic! Can’t say enough about Janice and David! Just a phone call away and very accommodating! We will be back again!

Peacefulness

We enjoyed staying at the quaint little White House. It was a nice place to go unwind after a busy day in Nashville. It was just a short drive to downtown Nashville or to Opryland. We saw deer almost every time we drove to the house. We loved watching the animals on the property also. Thank you guys for having us. We had a blast visiting Tennessee!

Moving cross country

Hard to find a place to stay in Nashville where you can park a 26 foot moving truck and be away from the homeless. This location was perfect. The owners let me park in the driveway and drop a trailer i was towing behind my truck. Quick drive to the stadium and we were on broadway. stadium

Janice and I are a happily married couple with 2 sets of twins :) We love to travel and enjoy life. It is our hope that everyone who visits our place will leave happy and wanting to visit Nashville again and again. Janice is a singer who has been blessed to perform at the Grand Ole Opry multiple times as well as many other venues in town. I, David, am an IT professional working for the State of TN for my entire career and look to retire to the farm life in the near future.

Why they chose this property

Our property is unique in that it is very easy to enjoy all that Nashville has to offer while being able to rest in the very laid back country atmosphere of our farm. Many of our guests enjoy daily walks in the pastures and visits with our Great Pyrenees dogs, sheep, cows, chickens, etc...

What makes this property unique

Just down the road is Peeler park. This park offers several miles of both paved and green trails for running/walking. It also has many miles of horse trails. It is not uncommon to see many deer and wild turkey while at Peeler park. If you wish to spend some time on the Cumberland river there is also a boat ramp at this park. The other very unique thing about Peeler park is the large remote control air strip. People of all ages love to watch pilots fly their planes here.
