About this property
St Albans Homestead - a cozy farmhouse in the heart of St Albans Village
A country styled homestead, with open plan large kitchen living dining room, with fire place for those chilly evenings. A full verandah wraps around the weatherboard house. Each bedroom has an ensuite. Right in the heart of St Albans, with indicble views down the Macdonald Valley.
For those that are more adventurous - there are fantastic bush walks, river swimming, kayaking (BYO), country walks, long lunches at the only pub in town. Please also be aware that there are no shops in town, you will need to bring all your own food etc.....
Please be aware this is not the 5 star Hilton, it is rustic country accommodatio. If your not ready to experience this please consider staying elsewhere.
There is an internal fire place for those cooler evenings. Please BYO wood (this can be collected cheaply from a service station), and BYO beach towels.
Other things to note
Please be aware there are some quirks that come with remote country living. The building is used solely as holiday accommodation and guests take try their best to take care. But occasionally accidents happen, occasionally things are broken.
The property is also working property, and a constant work in progress. We are often fixing fences, repairing broken things, and performing ongoing maintenance. We do our best to not work when guests are staying, but there may be evidence of work on the property.
Please keep all this in mind before booking.
