This place was absolutely filthy. Beds were full of hair, mattresses were stained beyond belief, blankets and sheets were old and thread bare. Furniture was all old, broken and stained beyond use. The entire place was uninhabitable. Gladys came downstairs with a garbage bag of what she said was clean sheets. We refused to stay and called vrbo who did nothing to help and 3 weeks later is still saying they are investigating with health and safety after we sent them 18 pictures of the filth and disrepair. Glady’s only offer was to bring in a steam cleaner the next day so we could enjoy wet furniture and beds instead of dirty furniture and beds. Never again will we use vrbo. Still fighting for our money back.

I’m sorry to hear that our home away from home did not meet your expectations. In the past three years of hosting short stays, this is the first time a guest has raised concerns about the cleaning or described the property as “inhabitable.” We take cleanliness very seriously and hire professional cleaners to perform detailed cleaning after every checkout. In addition to Vrbo, we also host on other short-stay platforms and have welcomed over 200 guests with reviews that are almost entirely 5 stars. Regarding the furniture you mentioned as “old,” it was actually purchased brand new recently from the Brick store. If permitted, I would be happy to upload the receipts for verification.

Review

Nice quiet neighborhood. As seen in pictures, new house. Only things i didn't see was a fireplace and hot tub which were listed in amenities. I would stay there again.

Good but needs improvement.

The good: The apartment is newly finished. The beds were comfortable. The house was easy to find. Areas for improvement: The bedding and towels were clean but it seemed no other cleaning was done since the last guests. The kitchen counter, bathroom counter and dining room table were dirty with smudges, hand prints, soap scum, food residue and splatters. There were paw prints all over the glass coffee table and white pet hair everywhere. The floors clearly hadn’t been vacuumed so they weren’t washed either and there was dried splashes on the floors. Being a basement suite, it was a bit chilly so some extra blankets would have been nice. Face clothes and bath towels were provided but there weren’t any hand towels for the bathroom. There was an open can of wet dog food left in the fridge when we arrived. There was also only one pot and one pan, and less than a full set of dishes. So if you plan to cook, you are a bit limited.

Thanks Danik for the feedback. The bedding and blanket is change as soon as a guess leaves 💯.. I got more than 20sets of bedding and blanket. In the kitchen cabinet I have 3 big pot, I small pot and a pan. Each pot can serve 5 people. I have got 7 big bowl and 4flats plates with 4 tea cups and glasses. Right by the door entrance is the temperature adjuster panel to increase or decrease room temp while the “read me” booklet direct you on where things are kept. I inspect after every cleaning before a new guess. I have taken note's of the feedback and will delinquently ensure it is right at all times thank you
