This classic Ocean Beach cottage offers a comfortable coastal stay with a bright living area, full kitchen, and separate dining space for enjoying meals together. Each bedroom is equipped with a smart TV for relaxing after a day at the beach. Outside, guests can enjoy both a front yard and a private backyard deck, perfect for morning coffee or evening unwinding. The home also includes a two-car driveway for convenient off-street parking, a rare amenity this close to the beach.

Please note: two newly built ADUs are located behind the home with tenants so please be respectful. The 2 car driveway is for your use!

Great stay in OB

We loved this stay. The location is so great and parking was easy. The neighborhood is chill and quiet. The backyard is perfect for dogs and enjoying some sunshine. Internet was fast. The place had everything we needed to feel comfortable for a week.

Great rental

The home is a great beach house with about everything you might need. The backyard is wonderful for your 4-legged family members and the home was clean and comfortable. Its a nice walk to the beach and back or a short drive to Balboa Park, the Zoo and other attractions. The noise from the planes can be heard but it's quiet for about 6 hours during the night and with the windows closed and the AC on, it's fine. We had a couple small issues during our stay but the host was quick to fix what they could. It was a nice retreat from the desert heat.

House was in a great location for us. The sheets smelled like too much febreze from the laundry soap and the kitchen was so small, otherwise everything was great.

Thanks for staying at our place! We’re always trying to provide a five star experience. The kitchen is small, no doubt, but has all appliances including a dishwasher, new oven and range, microwave and full size refrigerator and freezer. We provide a “roaming island” with wheels if you feel you need more countertop room. Though it is small, it has everything, pots and pans, cookware, cutlery, bowls/plates, coffee maker…everything you need. As far as the sheets smelling like febreze, perhaps we use a different detergent than you’re used to. The good news is they smelled like they had been cleaned😀

Fantastic accommodations just a few blocks from the beach! The owners were wonderful to work with!

We loved this house and cannot wait to book it again on our next trip! The owners were wonderful to work with; very communicative and helpful! The home was well stocked, very clean, and really comfortable. Our dogs absolutely loved the yards, and of course we spent hours at Dog Beach each day. Thank you Mike and Tania - we can't wait to come back!!

Super convenient beach home (especially for dogs)

The hosts were very proactive, and even offered early check in and left many things in the house all for guest use. Loved the front and back yard for the pups.. If you have dogs and want to go to the beach, this is the place for you. Dog beach and a nice dog park within a mile walk.

Awesome place in Ocean Beach!

The house was awesome. Super clean and had everything we needed and then some. Mike and Tania were awesome hosts, making sure we had everything we needed and even giving us some local tips to make our stay even better! The location was great, walkable to most everything if you want to walk, otherwise a short drive. Definitely would book again!

Amazing!!!

This house was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for as first timers in San Diego. Everything was well thought out and organized and there were even snacks, the boogie boards, a grill and all the essentials for us to live comfortably. The couple days we stayed. Great location close to the beach and easy to get to anywhere within San Diego. 100 percent recommend

Family vacation

Excellent location, less than a mile from ocean beach. Appreciated the fenced in yard both in the front and back. It was perfect for our dog. Owners were responsive and very helpful. Just a side note if you come with your pup, the only access to the backyard from the house is through the smaller bedroom. We didn’t find the planes flying overheard to be an issue. The windows are triple paned!

Wonderful Ocean Beach House

This is a perfect place to enjoy a beach vacation. It is in a residential area within 1 mile of the beaches, coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is such a great location where you can to enjoy all OB has to offer and then return to the house to relax on the patio and enjoy the beautiful back yard. The property owners were helpful and quick to respond to questions. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We can't thank them enough for sharing this wonderful house with us!

My family and I have made OB our home for the last 15 years and know what a special community it is. It's the perfect place to visit to experience everything San Diego has to offer in a central beach community. My wife and kids enjoy the local playgrounds, going to the beach, the farmers market every Wednesday evening, along with endless other activities and community events. I am a Firefighter at the local station, 15s, just a couple blocks west of the house. OB is a special and authentic beach community ideal for families, couples, and working professionals looking to enjoy the best of San Diego during their time here.

Why they chose this property

This property is the perfect place for a family vacation or for the working professional. It is a comfortable house with all the comforts of home. It's very private with a beautiful back yard with a grassy area for the kids, an expansive deck for relaxing, having a barbeque, or a glass of wine. The house is only 7 blocks from the beach, just far enough to stay out of the beach chaos, but close enough to walk to in no time. The walk takes you straight down Voltaire past the fire station, a number of excellent restaurants, breweries, and local businesses and coffee shops. Walk your dog down to dog beach and let them run free on the beach. Take your boards, fins, and family and spend the day at the beach. The south end is home to tide pools to see local sea life. The OB pier is perfect for sightseeing and having breakfast or lunch at the cafe on the pier. Newport Avenue is home to many local businesses, excellent restaurants, breweries, surf shops and night life.
Walking east from the house takes you to coffee shops, "To the Point" eatery perfect for breakfast. A bit further is Stumps, the local supermarket.
Within a very short drive are a number of marinas in Mission Bay where guests can rent boats, go on fishing charters or whale watching excursions. Mission Beach and more activities and night life are in that area. The other direction takes you to Liberty Station where there are more supermarkets, parks, stores, restaurants and an excellent full service theater "The Lot."
The airport is less than 10 minutes away. Downtown San Diego, the gaslamp district, and the Convention Center are also less than 10 minutes driving. The San Diego Zoo is about a 10 minute drive by Balboa Park, home to museums and a great botanical garden. A ferry runs from downtown to Coronado, a great place to spend the day. There is so much to do in San Diego and this home is close to it all.

What makes this property unique

Centrally located to everything in Ocean Beach. Guests could go the whole week here without getting into a car.

The house is well maintained and very clean. Shampoo and soap are provided. Owners live very close and any guest needs can be met in no time.
