Great location on the beach with an oceanview. Within walking distance of restaurants and the beach gear that was provided was a bonus. Had a couple of minor issues but nothing that would prevent us from staying here again.
clean and easy check-in. The balcony and unit was not really ocean front.

From the owner: “We’re glad to hear you found the property clean and had a smooth check-in. Our listing describes the home as having a private balcony with an ocean view, but it is not labelled as oceanfront. Thank you for your review.”
Property was exactly as advertised. We especially appreciated the luggage elevator to the 2nd floor room level which meant we didn’t have to carry our luggage up to flights of stairs!
My daughter and I took a trip out to the Outer Banks and couldn't be more pleased with the location and amenities this place provided. The property was located within steps of the beach, which made it perfect for getting up early to catch the sunrise. The balcony with the two chairs overlooking the ocean was perfect to drink morning coffee or relax after a day. It was in great proximity to restaurants and other amenities. We made great memories and cannot wait to come back!

Great for our short stay!
Beds are very comfortable and air conditioning works very well!!Make sure temp in fridge is turned all the way down as soon as you get it, because it takes a long time to cool down.Pod coffee pot requires you to touch the power button again to stop at the amount of coffee you want during the brewing processNo parking passes were required for parking-- we never had an issue with an open space!

From the owner: "Thank you for your input. We are sorry your experience was not better. Thank you for your great ideas. We hope you will come back to see the improvements in the future. We will be creating an info Book and purchasing a Keurig and some hooks. The cleaning crew has been made aware of the issue with the refrigerator."
This property is located perfectly on the beach and has all the beach supplies you could think of! We so appreciated them supplying those so we didn’t have to haul them in our travels. They also have virtually every living supply, missing a few like washcloths and maybe a filtered pitcher for water (picky I know) as we thought the tap water had a funny taste to it. Other than that we would highly recommend staying here! You can’t beat the view, location and amenities.
Great condo and well stocked with necessary kitchen items as well as games , books and puzzles. Decor was fun and sofas and bedding very comfortable . Only thing that could be negative for some is no tv in either bedroom and ice maker was not working for us . Would stay there again !
Arrived at 4:30, rooms still had dirty linens, unit hadn't been cleaned, trash can was very dirty bugs fly out of it.

"We want all guests to arrive at a fully ready vacation home, and we’re sorry this wasn’t the case for your check-in. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- This was due to a scheduling oversight where the cleaning crew was not notified of the prior checkout.- Once the issue was identified, the cleaners came right away to reset the unit.- Steps have been put in place to ensure this type of miscommunication doesn’t happen again. We appreciate your patience upon arrival and are confident future guests will find the home guest-ready from the start."
This place exceeded our expectations and truly made our trip perfect. I was traveling with my 2 young daughters so my priorities were safety and convenience. This place was exactly both of those. The beach is truly right out the back (convenience) and right next to a lifeguard (safety). My girls dubbed it “the pink fridge house” and we are so excited go back sometime! My only complaint is super minor: the outlets on the front porch area didn’t work and we had hoped to watch a movie out there, but had no way of charging my laptop.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
I appreciate the early check in. The cargo lift was a huge help with luggage. My complaint is the cleanliness and condition of the condo. There was evidence of kid's beads/toys on floor. No kitchen towels available. The bathroom tub/showers had rusted fixtures. No lock on outer door. This is trivial, but the magazines were from 2020 and 2021. Looked sloppy. Beds were comfy, pillows were not. The condo could use a refresh for sure. The location was great.
This is a very impressive unit! Kitchen extremely well appointed. Cheery and light with great decor. Super location for covering the length of OBX. Excellent view of the beach and easy access to the beach. I had a question about where beach chairs were kept and received a speedy reply. Perhaps that could be included in check in. Oh. And there is an elevator to transport your luggage to the second floor. We did not see it but another guest showed us. I'd return to this condo in a heartbeat.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Review of Kill Devil Hills
The vacation turned out to be a complete failure. We arrived and found the property to be very old, clean, but with a strong musty odor. We could not find the source but it was overwhelming and we did not stay. We contacted the property owner by phone and email and found him to be very condescending and lackadaisical about our concerns. We have contacted the agency that rented the property to us and am still waiting on a response. We do not recommend this property to anyone until the source of the musty odor is repaired and the advertised page properly reflects the condition of the property.

From the owner: "Hi Sidney, thank you for your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. Our aim is to ensure a comfortable and accurately represented space for all our guests. The property is thoroughly cleaned and inspected between stays, and the listing accurately reflects its current condition, including detailed photos and amenity information.Regarding your concern about a musty odor, we responded promptly by providing a dehumidifier to address potential humidity issues, which can occasionally arise in coastal environments—particularly during periods of rain. Our property management company also reached out to coordinate access for cleaners to investigate and assist further, but we were informed that the entry procedures were not followed as required, which unfortunately limited our ability to address the issue during your stay."
