Welcome to Salty Shores, a pristine family pool home located just steps from the beach, and within a 15 minute drive of all of the St. Augustine historic and island attractions! Settle in for a perfect vacation where there is something for the whole family. A modern heated pool with large paver surround and loungers awaits you as a place to relax and catch some sun while watching the kids play in the water. Inside, lounge in the sunroom living space or the comfortably furnished living room. Savor delicious meals you can prepare in the fully stocked kitchen and enjoy around the dining table or at the breakfast bar, or grill out poolside with the family.



Best of all, Salty Shores is located just across A1A from breathtaking, wide St. Augustine beach. Healthy dunes and foliage create a perfect place for spotting all kinds of wildlife. Watch for gopher tortoises in the dunes and dolphins swimming offshore! Enjoy a number of fine restaurants, plenty of bars, and local attractions and parks on the island and all within a few minutes' drive.



Be sure to bring your boat along to launch into the intracoastal waterway at the park right around the corner (1 mile) for a day of boating and fishing. The Matanzas Inlet is about 6 miles down the river and the Old City of St. Augustine is about 8 miles up river.



Three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms come supplied with all of the linens and towels you will need for your stay, and start up amenities in the bathroom and kitchen are provided.

***Note: The pool heater season is from November 1st - April 15th. Pool heat is available upon request. Pool heat must be requested 24-48 hours in advance. Please inquire for pool heat fees.



**PET POLICY: Only dogs are permitted, and must be approved by management PRIOR to booking. You must inquire through the booking platform with the number, weight, and breed to get approval before you book as some breed and size restrictions apply. A pet fee will be required upon approval.

Nice vacation. House was clean. Pool was nice. The house needs an outdoor/patio set with table and chairs. Would be nice to be able to sit outside and eat or relax in chairs at a table rather than sitting on the pool loungers.

Great stay!

Overall it was a fabulous vacation! The house was 0.3mi to the beach, so easy to walk to and a wagon was provided, along with beach boards and sand toys. We had the air conditioner go out on our first day and it was promptly fixed within just a few hours. The beds were very comfortable! We'd absolutely book here again!

Family Trip

The house was great. It is just about a 10 minute walk to the beach with littles and there is a cross walk for the cars to stop so you’re able to walk safely. Plenty of space and felt homey. The pool was great and the perfect temperature to be able to get straight in and enjoy. They were awesome at responding quickly and answered any questions I had before and during our trip. We will definitely book a house with them again!

Great Property and Close to the Beach

This house was perfect for our family vacation. It was within a short walk to the beach and then after our stay at the beach we could come back to the warmer pool water and let our dogs run around the fenced in back yard. The house was decorated in a very cute beachy style with great artwork on the walls. The master bedroom and master bath were nice and spacious as well. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay!

We had an exceptional experience at this home. We will definitely be booking again. Communication with the host was quick and easy…checking in and out was a breeze. Location was perfect for us and there were tons of beach toys and items available for us to use. We especially appreciated the enclosed garage and the sun room where we could clearly see the pool from inside. This helped us keep an eye on the big kids in the pool as we were doing other things! I would rate this home as exceptional. 5 stars all the way around!

The house was very dog friendly like too dog friendly. Dog hair everywhere and pee stains on the trims of the walls.

It is true that our home is dog friendly. It is not true that there was any dog hair or dog pee in the home prior to your stay. We professionally clean and personally inspect each of our homes immediately after every guest checks out and before a new guest checks in. If you had any concerns about the home, you did not report anything to us at any time during your stay. If you had, we would’ve responded immediately and worked to resolve any concern you had. It is also true that you treated our home worse than any dog. You peed on the floors, on all of the beds and linens, and many other places, basically everywhere except where humans should, in the toilet, which you also damaged. In addition to damaging the toilet and treating the home as such, you also damaged a door and trim work. We found and photographed all of these things when we arrived to the home minutes after your departure. When sent you photos and notified you of the charge for the damage, and that is when you made the claim that you put in your review. Additionally, we found evidence throughout the home of illegal substance use, which we also photographed. We had to replace many items in the home, repair damage, and perform an extensive deep clean in order to prepare the home for our future guests. We hope other owners read this before allowing you to stay in their home, we would be happy to share the photographs with the time and date stamps.

The home was clean and exactly as pictured. The pool was clean and outside well maintained with the fence for dogs. Only a few minor things to note - if you have small dogs they could escape under the fence in a couple of areas so you need to supervise them. Beach chairs are really low if you have elderly folks or those with knee issues. Also could use garbage cans and mirrors in bedrooms to get ready with so many people and only two bathrooms Great and easy walk to beach. Crosswalk is available as a safe option to cross the busy highway. Overall a good location if you want a private pool and beach option. We would stay there again if we head back to St Augustine.

Would stay there again!

The owners have set up this rental well. We had what we needed. If you stay more than 2 days, you will need more TP and possibly more laundry detergent, otherwise we had everything. Plenty of towels. There was even a beach cart and chairs. Quick walk to the beach. Very clean. Pool was nice. Lots of seating and many TVs.

Nice stay

Served our family of 3 plus dog well for a nice weekend getaway. Easy, short walk to the beach and the pool was lovely. House was clean and well stocked. Plenty of room to spread out. Only minor issue was the TV set ups. We downloaded and paid for the screen share app but it didn’t work well, kept timing out. We could not add apps to the Roku TVs to watch our local streaming. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay.

Good location, not family friendly

House was in a good location. Close to the beach. Upon arrival, we noticed lots of white dog hair on the couches in the main living room and the sunroom. We locked off sunroom so our children could not go down there. We cleaned up as best as we could, as there was dog hair on couches and sand on tables. Our children found toys under the couches and couches had visible scratches from a pet. Plenty of towels but no extra sheets. If you are traveling with you kids, I would bring extra sheets as we all know accidents happens. Did not happen to us but it could happen for anyone. Also no plastic plates or cups, so be sure to bring your Own.

Vacation Bliss

Salty Shores is a lovely home. It was a great fit for our family. Upon our arrival we were concerned about the distance from the beach and the busy street we had to cross to get there But it was only a ten minute walk and the traffic was very good about stopping when the lights flashed. We quickly mastered the short trip and enjoyed walking our dog daily and taking the grandkids the second week. We loved the pool and appreciated having a private fenced in yard. Having a playground so close was a bonus. The house was well stocked with towels, hand soap, etc to get us started. A grocery store and drug store were a short drive away. In fact St George street, restaurants and shops were all a short drive and we visited many of them often. We did have an issue with the grill not working. We contacted the rental service and they did have a new grill delivered a couple of days later. The washer and dryer were like new and so convenient. I think there are only a couple of issues of concern. One was the lack of serving dishes. We could have used a couple more. Other than that the kitchen was well stocked. Also when we arrived we did mop the floor, It was dirty. Another suggestion would be to leave a few cleaning products available for a quick clean up if necessary. Also, access to a vacuum would be helpful. The pluses far outweigh the negatives. We highly recommend Salty Shores and would love to stay there again.Oh! The free tickets were greatly appreciated!

I will not use Itrips again

The house was nice but in a rather secluded area. The tv reception was not good. I had started watching a movie on Prime with many episodes at home. I was eager to finish it while I was on vacation. Much to my dismay, something was wrong with the reception on the tv. The voices kept coming and going the whole week. Also, the pool has no ladders. I don’t think it would be good for children. It is hard to get in and out of it without slipping. Lastly, I mistakenly left one of my bags at the house. I did not realize it until 7 hours later when I got home. I was so lucky in a way that I left my iPad in that suitcase. The location app was on. When I called Itrips, they said they would call the house cleaner. They said the address where the iPad was being tracked belonged to the house cleaner. It appeared she carried my bag with her but 7 hours later, she had not reported that I had left it. They called, but she didn’t answer and didn’t return the call. I called Itrips the next day, and they had not heard from her so they called again. My iPad was tracked to her home. Yet, when Itrips finally got her on the phone, she claimed she didn’t clean the house, and she didn’t know where the suitcase was. So, I contacted an attorney. When I told Itrips that, they rushed to find the bag and pick it up. I do not think I would have gotten the bag back at all had I not pursued it and the fact that I had the cleaner’s address. No one could deny that I had left it and that the cleaner had it.

We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay if they encounter any issues, as we are more than happy to help in real time. Had we known you were experiencing problems with the TV audio, we would have gladly come by to troubleshoot and resolve it for you. While the pool does not have traditional ladders, it does include multiple built-in step areas designed for safe entry and exit. We appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind for future considerations. Regarding your forgotten bag, we understand how stressful that situation must have been. However, within minutes of you letting us know it was left behind we responded and let you know we were working on locating who had it. While it may have taken some time to arrange picking up your bag from the cleaner, we had no intentions of keeping your bag. You reported it missing around 8 pm on a Sunday night, there was no way for us to pick it up from her and ship it that evening to you. The next morning we got in touch with the cleaner and picked your bag up. We worked hard, during our busiest season, to retrieve the bag and ship it back to you in a timely manner. Thank you again for your review, and we do wish you all the best in your future travels.
