Kristen was responsive and made our stay feel welcome! We were driving in late our first night's stay, and she had the wood stove going for us so we could walk into a warm home. The location is fantastic for a visit between the hot springs and scooting into town. The view facing the river was also beautiful and made it an easy place to sit back and relax.

Glad you enjoyed your stay in the cabin. Would love to host you again in the near future!
I loved staying at this cozy cabin. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was more than enough water and firewood. It’s the perfect escape, yet not too far from a grocery store. Even the outhouse was nice. And the sauna was a real treat.
Great location for us we frequent this area and are so happy to have found this spot.Kitchen was stocked, comfortable bed, firepit with plenty of wood. We travel with our lab and were so happy to have her at the cabin.
The host was great to communicate with and the cabin is beautiful. We were there over solstice season in a -45 cold snap and we just couldn’t get warm. I can imagine this being lovely at any other season but unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the “cozy” part of staying in the cabin. We were grateful for at least a partial refund so we could find alternative accommodations.
Peaceful retreat! Soooo much better than staying in a hotel in town. No stomping feet or slamming doors.. just the peaceful sounds of the river flowing by. I would absolutely stay here again, and would look forward to doing so!

You were a delight to host and we would love to have you back in the future.
Check-in was as easy as could be and Kristen was available to answer any questions we may have had very promptly and courteously. Kitchen was amply stocked with cooking utensils and water which made cooking a breeze.

Thanks for your kind words John! You were a delight to host at our cabin.
Our stay was fantastic! Quiet, relaxing with a beautiful back drop. Close to hiking and biking and just a short drive to the city centre. I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for something a little different but still has all the basic comforts of home.
Kristen was great to communicate with. She helped me with all my inquiries and was super helpful. Lots of water and wood in the cabin, and the outhouse is very well kept. I saw the Aurora from the property which was pretty darn cool as well! Thanks again
Beautiful little cabin nestled on the Yukon River and private from the owners house. Had a wonderful stay the property was beautiful and relaxing giving the feel of being in the middle of nowhere but a quick 15 min drive back to Whitehorse and it's amenities.wouod recommend this property to anyone visiting the Yukon but want something different then a regular hotel

Thanks Danny- Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at our cabin!
I was looking for a place near Whitehorse to relax following an extended canoe trip. This cabin was perfect! Very nice to be located right next to the river, fairly private setting, good view. Excellent value for the money, well appointed with fridge and kitchen. Fairly close to Whitehorse, maybe a 15-20 minute drive. Nice not being in town. Did not mind "dry cabin" at all, worked well. Host provided many extra items for the traveler, including some basic items I forgot to bring, so saved me a trip back to town. Even provided me with a strawberry-rhubarb pie which was delicious! Thank you! Communications good, but not intrusive at all. Very peaceful stay. I would definitely stay again if I return! I am 70, mobile, and in good health and did not find the stairs to the loft problematic at all.

Thanks David! It was lovely to have you stay at our cabin- We would love to have you back!
This is a really nice, quite new, clean and quiet cabin well decorated including some quilts (wife is a quilter-liked them) and furs, overlooking the River. Beautiful location and proximity to Whitehorse. You can have fires in the fire pit outside and heat the cabin with a fire inside if needed. The appliances (fridge and stove/oven) are clean and new and cutlery dishes and pots and pans are fine. There isn’t running water but they supply bottled and it is fine. There is an outhouse only - which is clean and okay.
The off here is there is no indoor running water so heat water and use a face cloth if needed, there is a kitchen sink. There is no TV, WIFI or microwave. That was acceptable as we used to like camping and it was such a nice clean cabin. This is part of the outdoors enjoyment in the Yukon for a few nights.
The bed / bedroom is in a loft with quite steep narrow steps (with a very sturdy hand rail). This should be noted as it is not very good if there are any mobility issues. (My wife has a neuro-muscular condition so uses sticks for balance to walk, but we were able to manage carefully and enjoyed the cabin. Had I known about the loft stairs I wouldn’t have booked. Sorry)
It really is a nice cabin and we did enjoy our time in it. Thank you.

Thank you for your review Larry.
Yes- this is a dry cabin, with electricity but no running water.
I will make sure to highlight the steep stair case, as its not user friendly for people with mobility issues.
Thanks for being such great, respectful visitors.
