Nestled deep in the Tikitere forest on the side of Lake Rotoiti you will find our boatshed bach. It's not glamorous but the location is idyllic. The boatshed is an L shaped room with a separate bathroom. A queen bed means the bach can accommodate 2 people. We do have an airbed for an extra person. In the corner of the bay is a hot water creek which you can kayak to. The bush offers peaceful walks and for the very adventurous there is a bush hot pool and waterfall. Rotorua is a 15-20 minute drive away so you will need a car. The Manapouri hotpools are situated on the side of Lake Rotoiti. The hot pools are only accessible by boat. To kayak to the hotpools would take around 30-40 minutes.

Had an awesome time. Scenic, quiet, and our little staffy loved being on the kayaks. This place is made for one to forget the rest of the world and chill. Absolutely coming back. Our stay was way too short.

Nice spot on the lake. Enjoyed a quiet relaxing stay. Simple bach. Kayaks were a bonus. Steep driveway but our little rental car had no probs getting in and out. Definately check in during daylight hours.
This is a great area down by the lake, very peaceful. The boathouse has everything you'd need and is super comfy. Sarah is friendly and instantly responsive to any questions. 100% would stay again. Very pleasant.
